Introduce Yourself!

Out of the box, the Dark Magic will be either responsive or unresponsive. It depends on how much lube they put on the bearings before it was packaged.

But the great thing about the Dark Magic is that you can set it up to be responsive or unresponsive. To make tug-responsive, you just have to apply thick lube on the bearings, and tighten the gap. To make it unresponsive, you can apply thin lube(or clean the bearings) and widen the gap.

Hello all; my name is Steven and I am from Elgin, Texas, about 30 minutes from Austin. My son asked for a yo-yo one day and so I got him a Duncan Imperial from Wal-Mart and he loved it. I then got him a Mosquito, and he loved it even more. He started having me help him with the sleeper, and before you know it, we were both hooked. He and I play all the time and although we are beginners, we are getting better all the time. Because neither one of us are great, it makes getting better together even more fun. We are hoping to purchase a Dark Magic very soon.

Welcome, I hope you enjoy your Dark Magic!

Welcome… Maybe instead of getting one dark magic look into two Lyn Fury’s. Its soposed to be an amazing beginner yoyo that can grow with you into a very advanced yoyo. And you will have enough extra money left over for string

sup everyone my name’s Max. i started yoyoing when my friend and i were bored and went into a Rite Aid and bought a duncan butterfly. my friend was pretty good because he could do the cat’s cradle. i started wanting to get better and now i have the speeder and am at the Advanced-expert level on this sight. i’ve known about this sight for a while but i just got my account recently. i descovered it when trying to learn trix on youtube.com. i have been yoing for about a year now and i everyone at school (im a freshman) thinks it is magic. im going to start a yoyo club and teach kids at school how to do some cool trix. my favorite one is one i made up where you do a double or nothing, start the cold fusion, but instead of dropping the string, i spin it around my fingers and then dismount.

ps. when is the next yoyo contest in CA. i know i am posting this the week after the world yoyo competition but i need one near LA.

Hello My name is David ( Friends call me super dave ) I’m 30 years old, I’m a Mechanical Desiger/ Engineer. I love modifications, high end materials, 3D CAD design, Machining, Robots and radio control aircraft. NOW I LOVE YOYO’s !!! I was not able to even sleep a yoyo until about 3 years ago. I saw some videos on youtube did some research and bought a Turbo Bumblebee as my first yoyo. Now I also have an Aerospin ( love hate relationship). So far I can do very basic tricks, walk the dog, around the world, tidal wave, breakaway, ( learning to land trapeze still, need work on throwing), last night I learned pop the clutch and need to polish that.

now that I have found expert village videos and was led to this site, I am in shock and Aw over the Dark Magic !!!. the DM will be my next yoyo as I think I will like to really get into string tricks and un-repsonsive yoyo’s, The pro here makes it look so smooth and flowing with his DM that has really captivated me.

so even though I am Married and have a 3 and a 10 year old boy I will find the time to practice.

Thanks for reading, glad to be a new member here,

Dave
