New to throwing and the forums. My buddies just grabbed me an Edge for my birthday. I bought a N11 and K1 while drinking at the bar one night (preCOVID) and quickly ditched the K1. Bought a Snack then upgraded to a Shutter. Still working on my Brent Stole, any tips welcome. Also any way to display these yoyos in my house is welcome.

Hi and thanks!

Welcome aboard. You seem pretty advanced already! One tip about the Forums: the search bar is awesome for trouble-shooting yoyo problems. I found a lot of quick answers / tips using the search bar. I’m glad you joined us. We like to see photos so click click click!

Hello,
My name is Pete,
I’ve started seriously yo-yoing in the the Tom Kuhn no-jive era, when aluminum throws were as rare as titanium throws are now, catch zones were usually only 3mm, and A1 was just a name of a steak sauce. I had to stop completely because of silly things like school and work. That was right around the time ball bearing on axles became a thing. It’s been a while.

Thanks to the recent plague, I’ve had enough time to pick up yo-yoing again, which means I’m basically starting over. I just picked up a couple of ODs on YYE and they are starting to bind consistently at the right times.

I’m impressed at how the whole yo-yo scene has developed in the last 20 years. It’s a completely different world.

Hello everyone, I’m Lam. Been playing for a few years on and off after being introduced to this by a friend. My favorite and most used yoyo is the iYoyo Iceberg. I eventually came across this website after searching for tips on performing kwyjibo but only made an account now

What’s up Throwers! First of all, sorry for my English.
I’m Kondo, and I’ve been throwing since 2003, although I’d to stop at 2006 (because broke my yoyo, and almost my skull), at that time I was just a kid, couldn’t work to afford to buy a new yoyo, so my experience was based mainly on a plastic unrresponsive yoyo withouth any brand that I was presented. After that, I heard about Duncan, so my father’s friend brought one from USA, can’t remember the model, the the only thing I remember is that it was a responsive yoyo. Curious and breakthrough, because in my mind responsive yoyos was the one that you get for free on the movies (at least we had this Coca-Cola russel yoyos around 90’s). Lost this yoyo when I moved town around 2012, and haven’t throw since… So that’s it, I found the old box with my plastic broken yoyo, and I’m back, waiting for my package to arrive and be back in business. =] I’ve been reading a lot in this forum, so I decided to make a login and salute everybody! Very nice to see the community still up! I’m glad to be back.
