im Jed my favorite yo-yo has no name because we haven’t named it yet but its similar to the cut, my favorite tricks are probably braintwister, and the matrix. one of my favorite yo-yoists is Steve Brown.

My name is Michele (yes I am a girl). I started yoyoing about ten years ago but stopped a couple of years later. I got as far as being able to a few of the advanced tricks on this website. (Amazingly, I can still do most of the stuff I learned. LOL) I tried to start back up again a couple of years ago, however, I didn’t stick with it. But now I’m back at it!
I’ve had a YYJ SpinFaktor that I got a couple of years ago. How can I make it unresponsive? And any suggestions on what I should get next? Theres so much more to choose from than there were ten years ago!
Welcome to the forums Michele, we are so happy to see you here! There is some girl yoyoers in this forum. The only way to make the yoyo unresponsive is to use “Thin Lube” to lube the bearing and it will be unresponsive. Here is the video of how to lube your bearing:

Hello, I have been reading these forums for a while, and thought it was time to join in the fun. I first started yo-yoing in January (2009) and I'm currently working on advanced part 1. I have also completed the off-string section. I face one problem in my off-string quest, how to learn more tricks? My favorite trick is off-string whip catch, but Kwijibo is a close second. I found YoyoExpert with the help of the world's greatest search engine, Google! Besides yo-yoing, I enjoy camping, running, biking, and racing slotcars. I was introduced to yo-yoing by a friend, who also uses Andre's videos to learn.
Hey my name is Matt but most people call me Bear. My favorite yo-yo is the YoYoJam Dark Magic. My favorite tricks are probably Laceration, Boingy Boing, and The Matrix. I first got into yo-yoing when i saw Mickey’s performance in the 2005’s Worlds. My first yo-yo was the Duncan Mosquito. Now I have been yo-yoing for a 2 months and so far I like it. I also play other sports such as baseball and basketball.

My first yoyo is the Speeder, which i’ve had for bout 3 weeks, but used my friends yoyo for about 2 weeks. i have been yoyoing for about 2 months. my favorite tricks would be mondial, matrix, Buddha’s revenge, and boing e boing. 8)

My name is Miha and i am 24 years old and i am from Slovenia. I have a tiger snake yo-yo from henrys but i cant say its my favorite yo-yo because its the only one i have and i want something better now. My favorite trick is double or nothing because more complex stuff i cant even pull off with that yo-yo. At first i tought i am not still good enough and i need more practice but when i tryed how long it will spin it was only 20 sec. When i read about records of some guys on the internet the time was like 4 min. I realized then that i cant be that bad i just need a better yo-yo. I want to buy a better one now so i can become great at yoyoing. I am thinking about Dark Magic…

But remember: It isn’t the yo-yo, it’s your throw. Some yo-yos WILL spin longer because of rim weight and will spin longer but practice your throw.
The Dark Magic would be a great choice for a Intermediate to Master level yo-yo.
Also, the worlds longer spin time on a yo-yo is around 16 minutes
