Okay, so I am Brian (TvS), and i use a Dark Magic.
I also can solve the 3x3 rubik’s cube in 40-45 seconds average. I own a 3x3,5x5,6x6 and 7x7 as well as many, many others. i can play the ocarina (somewhat…) but never finished LoZ:OoT.
I am currently in the Advanced 2 section of Andre’s videos (except a few select tricks that i dont like such as Boing E. Boing).
uhmmm…And i am hoping to get an eight8eight in the future sometime. ;D

Hi I’m gnomie from New York, and I like cheesecake, golf, and the almighty yoyoing. I started when found my lost brain yoyo, and now I use the Duncan freehand and the henrys lizard, but I’m looking at the dark magic because these along with my thirteen others don’t sleep long enough to do cool tricks like Boing-E-Boing. I know that no one is going to read this, but who’s the guy that teaches you yoyo tricks? He’s really good.
You mean Andre Boulay in here?
Happy Throwing! =]
Yeah it’s André. And it’s not THAT big here, but it’s not small either. People will almost always read your posts and there are some really nice people here like starscreem88 that will respond as well as they can!

cool thanks i thought id just sit here and do nothing
welcome everyone!
hey guys, my name is theyoyoempire, otherwise known as tyye. my favorite yoyo is the k2j warning line, and it goes great with purple yoyonation highlights. i bought the k2j warning line because it was made in china, and many yoyos made in china are very good. it looked like one of the best yoyos out there, so i bought it. my favorite yoyo response is silicone o-rings. my favorite color is purple, and my favorite food is the burger king spicy chicken and crisp sandwich. i’m not very new to this whole yoyoing buisness, but i am new to the forums. my favorite trick or my best trick is slack trapeze. my skill level is at least expert part one, and some part two. i got into yoyoing when i saw a group of kids playing with yoyos, but just a fake one, like the gravity pull one. after that, i seeing that, i bought the duncan freehand 2 off of yoyonation. it’s color was yellow. i saw that it came with a counterweight, so i began to play with it, after finding out it was called 5a. I like 1a, too - and practice it a lot. but most of all, i like 5a the best. i still have the duncan freehand 2 now, and is still in perfect condition. i made a big jump, from a freehand 2, to a duncan metal zero recently. after about a month later, i bought my k2j warning line. it is very good, and in perfect condition.
that is my life’s story of yoyoing. i hope to keep on going, and never stop.
oh, p.s., i am good with paint.net and i love to use art programs, so if you’d need a picture for an occasion, or anything, tell me.
welcome to the forums and im sure you will enjoy it.
everyone here is very nice and very helpful.
Hi everyone,
My name is Jon. I found this site on a google search and glad I did! I’m new to forums having never really used them but I hope to learn alot from the wealth of knowledge here and in time…a long time, I hope to give some input back. So I had a Firestorm YoYo at secondary school (that’s high school for you U.S. gang). I did very, very basic tricks. I’ve now just decided several years on to give it another go and with there being a huge resource out here on the t’interweb with videos and helpful guides I thought why not?
I’ve just purchased a YoYoJam Speeder which I am very pleased with. A couple of questions, how to you get it to bite if stuggling from a sleeper? I seem to have to really tug hard, even from a strong sleeper. Is there a way I can adjust the gap?
Finally at the 32nd second of this video the tutor flicks the yo-yo up to wind the string…how does he do that? I seem to be forever wrapping it around manually with one finger on the yo-yo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPlAGs59b5k
Help would be appreciated. Cheers.
That’s Andre’s way to rewind the yoyo, its call “Snap Start”, there is many way to do snap start/ rewind.

Thanks Starscreem. I’ll look that up, what about adjusting my yo-yo for an easier return?
Here’s snap starting:
And here is adjusting the yoyo to be responsive (Will come up with a tug)
It is all in out learn section here:
