Introduce Yourself!

Welcome!

Hey,

My name is Michal, Iā€™m 24 and Iā€™m from Poland. Iā€™m throwing yoyo for like 6 years, but I had many break ups during this time due to studying. Now I have a bit of free time, so Iā€™m trying to reactivate my hobby.

Your studying comes first, then you can throw on breaks. Welcome.

Hi, my name is Cristian. Iā€™m fairly new to yo-yoā€™s. I first picked one up because my dad had an old one and did the classic tricks. I was amused by this, and turned to YouTube to learn walk the dog and the Eiffel towerā€¦ I watched video after video on all these different tricks, and decided I wanted to get a good yo-yoā€¦ My first yo-yo was YYF Velocity, and I loved how it made it easy for me to learn unresponsiveā€¦ fast forward a couple months and now I think iā€™m ready for a metal(at least now i think my face will survive one XD). Anyway, as a Yo-yo(er?) on a budget, I looked around till I landed here, bought my yoyo, and am ready to learn some more.
Current Yo-Yo: Velocity(Black and Blue) and Shutter(Blue-Grey Fade)
Favorite Player: Gentry Stein and Ann Connolly
Wishlist Yo-yo- Probably the YYF Edge or the Titanium Shutter

Hi,
Iā€™m Captain Caveman, from France (Iā€™ll do my best about grammar, I swear), middle aged man but young yoyo thrower. Iā€™ve been doing diabolo younger and re-discovered yoyo about one year and a half ago. I havenā€™t progress so much since then, because of a knife, a ring finger and my dumbness. A sad story. That ends well, ā€œoufā€ as we say in France.

I didnā€™t fill the ā€œwhatā€™s your favourite yoyoā€ line, because as a (geek) beginner, I try everything that falls in my hands, to see what suits me the best. Iā€™m intersted with 1 and 2 A. 1A 'cause itā€™s great and reminds me of diabolo, 2A 'cause itā€™s great and itā€™s the image most people have of yoyo so I can impress them. And then all the ladies are in love with me and all the guys want to be my friend. Well, thatā€™s the plan, weā€™ll seeā€¦

I have some loop 1080 and initiator for 2A, A dark magic II, A rogue and a galsang for 1A. And a few more that will arrive soon.

I didnā€™t fill the ā€œwhatā€™s your favourite trickā€ either, because my favourite tricks are all those I make succesfully (not so much). I can bind, double or nothing, slack somethings sometimes, flip around, things like that. I have as much fun as my 6 yo son. Maybe more. I love that. So here am I, to learn new things, to meet new people.

Donā€™t listen to the tiny voice saying Iā€™m here with the devilish wish to have all your rare and nice yoyos by trading them for stinky cheese, itā€™s jealousy.

Progress to me is measured by how much fun throwing is and age does not matter. So, WELCOME!

My name is Zach venegas and i am 13 years old and i had the passion to yoyo for years, but i started not learning tricks 2 years ago and got into kondoming. I got back yoyoing just 4 months later i even know how to do slack trapeze. I am also very excited to try your products and more. My favourite yoyoers are Gentry Stein, even nagao, and Paul Kerbal. My favourite trick is either sucide, a trick i am practicing, and binds. Thank you

Hello! My name is James. Iā€™ve been yoyoing for about a year now. Figured it was time to make an account here. I hope to make some friends and have some fun

Hello! I am Sidney, a highschooler. My story connected to yo-yo is far less emotional than many of the other replies here, but I still believe it to be important to share. I have always been very focused on 1-2 things. When a received a Yomega Spectrum as a present, I decided to give it a try. I have very poor fine motor and hand eye coordination skills, so even bringing the yo-yo back up was a challenge! Fast forward 8 months to the present, and I yo-yoā€™s are one of the most important things in my life. I yo-yo for 1-3 hours every day, and I am constantly pushing myself to learn and create new tricks. Some of my best accomplishments include Toru Miyazakiā€™s tech combo, Andrew Maiderā€™s GT, and Zack Gormleyā€™s star. I recently joined the forum, and I will be happy to interact w/ other yo-yoā€™ers more, rather than ā€œsolitary yo-yo.ā€

What are you doing here when you could be throwing?!

Hey Everyone, long time yoyoer first time forumerā€¦if that makes sense

Hello Iā€™m just a 13 yearold yoyoer
Who been playing with yoyos for 5 months,Iā€™ve played with a few way before than ,but this time Iā€™m serious about it like trying to soon enter contest and maybe get my own signature yoyo.i look up too peter kavka in the yoyo world and hope to be like him.

Hey everybody, my name is Jared Canizales, and I started yoyoing about 5.5 years ago. Also a bit of a maker, just recently began 3D printing. For the past few years, I havenā€™t been yoyoing a whole lot, but Iā€™d like to get back into it. My favorite yoyo currently is the YYF Super G. As for my favorite trick, Iā€™d probably say ā€œThe Matrixā€, but Iā€™m excited to learn some new, more impressive ones. I came across yoyoexpert.com just googling back when I was new to yoyoing, and I come back occasionally, but I just now decided to join the forum.

Hello, Iā€™m Anthony. I gained my interest in yoyoing way back during Super Yoyo (anime) is airing. From then on, I bought a couple of yoyos and lost interest since the yoyo technology back then is not good compared nowadays. I just got back into yoyoing this year after buying a YYF Replay Pro. I aim to learn all 1A trick available on the internet and hopefully join an official contest. Favorite trick currently is the kamikaze.

Whoaā€¦ long time no see. While I doubt any of yā€™all remember me I was pretty active here a couple years ago. I havenā€™t stopped throwing thankfully. Itā€™s still such a fun thing to do to get your mind off things or the perfect activity to do while listening to an album or something. Just figured Iā€™d say hey.

Great to be here! My name is Mark and Iā€™m from Missoula, Montana. Been throwing for a bit over a year, but Iā€™m just now getting serious about advancing my skills. Iā€™m definitely a late starter (going to be 42 soon), but I just love it. Throwing is such a great stress release, and I enjoy the collecting aspect of the hobby as well. My favorite yoyo is currently the CLYW Compass, and in the undersized category, itā€™s the General Yo Mini Star2. My favorite trick is. . . the most recent one I finally learn and land.

Yoyoing is great fun no matter what age. Keep it up st least till you are my age and have fun. BTW Welcome!

Glad to see some ā€œolderā€ dudes on here. Iā€™m 43 and got into it about 6 months ago and Iā€™m hooked just like you. Love learning new tricks and collecting as well. Itā€™s definitely an addictive activity in all the right ways. What are you working on ? How many throws have you got so far ?

Isnā€™t maturity wonderful?

iā€™ll be 55 next month. just started 3 months ago. LOVING IT. Iā€™ve got about a dozen yoyos now, and i have learned a couple dozen tricks so far

Hey all!

Late starter here, if you donā€™t count my early adventures with an old Glow Duncan Imperial

My 9 year old son and I got hooked about the same time, and canā€™t seem to put our throws down for more than a few minutes at a time! Going on about 2 months. Glad to join the crew here of ā€˜silver foxesā€™, as Iā€™m 43, and getting younger each birthday

Anyhow, thanks for having me and seeya in the threads.

Kyo
