i have a saber raider and its pretty much the most ill conceived yoyo ever made… get yourself a yyf one with a better bearing and you’ll be really learning those string tricks in no time.

Hello! My name is Carly, and I am 21 years old. I started yo-yoing almost two months ago. At first, I tried 1A, but couldn’t really get into it completely. Then I attended the Bay Area Classic yo-yo contest that was held this year, and I bought a Fiesta XX offstring yo-yo. Once I got home and started practicing 4A, I was hooked. I found this style to be more fun and exciting for my personal liking.

My fiancé, ThinkH2o, has been yo-yoing for about four months now. He is the reason I first decided to try yo-yoing at all. I always said that I wish I had some sort of hobby that would keep me preoccupied but I could never find anything to keep my interest for very long. Thankfully him getting me into yo-yoing changed that. Whereas I didn’t get into 1A like he did, I found my calling in 4A. Then we got to meet Gentry Stein and Zac Rubino on National Yo-Yo Day last month just two weeks after I started offstring. Meeting both of them furthered my inspiration to keep at it and continue with this new passion.

My fiancé (ThinkH2o), a friend we met at BAC (AngryGumball), and I recently decided to come up with a yo-yo company of sorts. We want to begin making t-shirts, yo-yo holders, etc, and make ourselves into a yo-yo apparel company. The three of us created a team, and are looking for other yo-yoers who would like to join. We are not a team that sponsors others; we are just a group that shares the art of yo-yoing. Each of us makes our own videos showing off our skills as we progress further into more advance tricks. Then we put all of our clips into one team video to showcase our individual skills, but compiled as a team. We just got started with our videos, but you can look forward to more coming in the near future. We hope to have our t-shirts and yo-yo holders available to purchase within the coming months.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction of myself and the team. Currently the team consists of Colby(ThinkH2o), Billy(AngryGumball), and myself. I will post our first video we have made as a team in the video section of the forums for you all to see. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy what we have to offer!

Hola!

Mostlyjoe here I got back into yoyoing from Terraria and /r/throwers getting me intersted in picking up a yoyoing as a hobby again. Back in high school I use to mostly do responsive tricks but it’s been quite a few years. I’m a big gamer nerd and by gamer I mean pen and paper, dungeons and dragons stuff.

I hail from Florida and have a lovely little family. I’m interested in 1A and 5A tricks, but first I have to get use to an unresponsive throw…again. XD

I have no prefered brand as yet, but I do love the Benchmark series from One Drop (even if a bit pricy), and C3 and YYF brands look great to me. I’m open to suggestions and ways to improve my throwing. I’m less worried about winning anything except maybe my daughter’s awe when she sees daddy doing sick tricks.

Welcome back to yo-yoing. Soon your kids will be playing. And isn’t I great being from FL?

There are benefits. No snow is one. But I could do without the ‘welcome to the sauna’ summers. Otherwise it’s great. I’m curious what the FL yo-yo scene is like through.

Hi, my name is Hendo.
I currently live in Berkeley, California as an international student. I’ve been yoyoing since 2007. Take a look at my collection here:
http://yoyoexpert.com/forums/index.php/topic,85685.0.html

as you can see from my collection, since I am experienced with many yoyos, I am very happy to help people who needs suggestion or reccomendation for a new yoyo. I also take relatively good pictures, but the pictures on the thread above are bad because I took them in 5 minutes total, lol  ;D Let me know if any of you want pictures of certain yoyo that I own.

The action in the Panama City Beach as far as I have seen is not at all. In Orlando and other points south there is a lot more action.

Blimey, so many new members!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME ONE AND ALL! ;D ;D ;D

I’ve been doing my best to welcome each and every one.:blush:

I suppose I should introduce myself here after lurking about these forums for awhile.

I am JT (yes that is what people call me) and I am middle aged guy who used to throw when I was very young but fell away from it for reasons that I can’t remember. Anyway, last year my wife heard me comment that I used to love my yo-yo was I was young and she surprised me for my birthday with a new yo-yo! I had forgetten how much I loved it and so over this past year I have really jumped back into it.

I am a casual level player that mostly does 1A with a bit of 4A now and then. My current collection includes (in order of purchase):

YYF DV888 (the one from my wife the got me started)
YYT Civility
OD Gradient
Duncan Skyhawk
YYF Space Cowboy
YYF Flight
OD Downbeat (my favourite so far!)

Well, that is it from me. Happy to be here!
