Hello, My name is Paul I am a rather modest yoyoer (irony intended) I try to make jokes that most people find not funny.

Favorite throw: Onedrop Cascade

I don’t really do B/S/T

YYJ Surge is a pretty solid (liquid) throw

[Keep on throwing][/move]

Welcome Paul

The Yoyoexpert Tutorials Are Very Helpful For Learning The Basics You Should Check Them Out If You Haven’t Already

Hello All. My name is Trey, I live in Texas, and I got a Tom Kuhn back in the 90s when Tom Kuhns were the cutting edge. I just bought a yoyo for a friend’s 60th b-day and got re-enamored. I still throw the roller woody and the no-jive, but I also got a DV888 and fell in love with non-responsive play. My biggest problem is convincing my wife that I actually NEED all the yoyos I want. Any advice on that would be super helpful. I found the forum by looking for apps, and I am humbled by how much you people know! I really like Eli hops - not because I can do them - but because they look really swanky. Anyway, I look forward to reading what you guys have to say.

Welcome!

If Your Not Sure Which Yoyo To Get Next You Can Create a Topic In 'Looking For Help And Recommendation"

I presume you are a mature adult also. Welcome, we need all the 50 and 60 something’s we can get.

I am an older adult…53. Mature? I play with yoyos! I’m a mathematics professor and a mountain unicyclist, for what that’s worth. But thanks for the welcome.

Perhaps mature is too strong of a word. How about being in our prime
(like 53 is?).

Definitely. I’m in my prime. I’ve been reading a lot of the intros. I think there are a few of us in this group who are in our primes. I have three sons who are probably close to the mean age of most of the users. One of them may be seduced by the lure of the yoyo. Time will tell. But it’s really nice to hear from a fellow boomer. Again, thanks for the welcome. I’ve really enjoyed the posts so far. I love hearing from passionate and knowledgeable people. I’ve learned a lot just in the little time I’ve been here.

I didn’t even see this when I created the thread ā€œnew guyā€, I was looking for a section like this. I’m 29 from Indaina, haven’t picked a yoyo up since2001, was diggin in my moms garage and found a zip lock with old yoyos. I busted it out and eveyone is amazed which honestly I’m terrible but would like to get back into it. Its an activiety I can do indoors and seems to pass the time. I;m working with a very old string right now so I’m afraid to throw it to hard not to mention it’s stretched just about as far as possible…
looking for something more modern to throw, YYJ was my favorite in the the past. I see their still around… I’d like to find a modern one under $50
this is pretty much a repost but figured I’d add it to the right section

I’m almost 30, I’m glad to see their others who haven’t lost their youthfulness

Hello I am Liam i have looked through the threads quite a bit, I am 15 and have been throwing for a little over a year and a half. I am from Canada. My favorite throw is my God Trick Cyclone, but i got the King Yo Star kit yesterday and it comes close. I have about 7 good metal throws and I hope to gain some more over the next few years.

Welcome Liam

Hey Liam, were you at the ECR? I was there! The guy with the shaved head and pink and black plaid shirt who was gawking at the amazing skills of errbody there.

That K!T is a good throw! I also liked their Prober.
