Introduce Yourself!

Welcome! YYE is a great online place, far superior to MySpace, twitter, and whatnot

Also, quick Q… What is your dream throw? And dm2’s are nice, so nice it’s kept them a favorite for quite some time

I want to get a Toxic Strings Havok.
I have heard good things and it’s weight has me interested.
It would be a nice step in the forward direction.
I am not sure what would be best for my playstyle though.
I use the dark magic for 1a, 3a, 4a, and 5a styles
and I tend to incorporate the various styles into mine.

You have 2 dm2s?

No my off hand yoyo is a YYJ Legacy II.
I did modify the weight of it though.

4a with a DMII…

3a seems easier XD

4A with a DMII I woudn’t be able to do it because I cringe every time I ding my throws so ofstring with a DMII would be unbarable

My DM’s a tank man. It was hard to get used to 4a at first, but I use a lot of hops in my trick sets.
When you get better, you drop it much less too. However, I use 4a as a novelty and it helps my 1a accuracy.

I love yo-yos and yo-yoing! This is my pic for the Halloween Costume Contest (Han Solo in carbonite with yo-yo)!

Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking the forums for quite some time…decided to finally register.

I’ve been yo-yoing on and off for a long time, but have only gone unresponsive about eight months ago.

Look forward to chatting with all of you.

I’ve been registered on this forum since 08, and just realized I never introduced myself here. Some people here may recognize me from other forums, but most likely you won’t. Anyway, I was born in 77, and have been throwing yoyo’s since the early-mid 80’s. I can bet there are many throwers who have been throwing for way less time that are far better than I. Doesn’t matter though. I love to throw. I also like to share what little knowledge I have acquired over the years. I’ve been making string since the 80’s(my 1st strings were made with a pencil!), and have been modifying yoyo’s since the early 2000’s. These days I don’t modify many yoyo’s that often because they actually play really well right out of the box! Not the case back then though. Anyway, not only do I throw yoyo’s, but I also play Bass, Guitar, and Drums. I like to do the odd Card Trick, and spend a little time constructing Marionettes(string Puppets). Just thought I’d share a little info about myself.

Edit:…and my name is Calvin!!LOL!!

Welcome!

Welcome to you a well

High. Names ZXeN. Joined the site to mainly ask questions and maybe some day go to a tournament to watch or compete it they have amateurs that I think I could win… Probably just to watch. My fave trick right now is ripcord, I’m using an old f.a.s.t., it’s purple I don’t think its a 201 cause it’s about ten or so years old. I ordered a kickside and need to know what size speed bearing to get. That would be great. The kickside is in the mail I can’t wait. I live near Chicago so if there’s some thing happening I might go and some of us could meet up and teach each other tricks, if I can get good enough I might mix it with skateboarding some how. I don’t know, I’m creative I just need to practice, oh I’m 26 and I play tons of videogames I have a ps3 if anyone wants to play any games together.

Hello my name is Hunter!

Checking in from Boulder CO, my favorite throw is the RecRev Silly Goose. Haven’t been playing for long but I intend to compete in the next Rocky Mountain YoYo championship!

I like to go street performing, but I hate when it’s windy.

Welcome!

I hate when its windy too it makes it so hard to land tricks

Welcome!

The bearing size depends on what yoyo your using but most yoyos use a size C bearind
the bearing size is listed in the specs

Hey guys Im andrew im just over a year into yoyoing and really hope I can get some help really stepping up my game I live in southeast mass so id love to meet some yoyoers in the area

Welcome!

My name’s Tim. I’ve posted a couple of times so far on the forum, really like how positive things are here, and so decided it’s time to properly intro myself. I’m currently in the Seattle area, though hopefully heading to Portland in the next year or two. I work night shift crisis work as a case manager, so never enough time, but at least I can do little things like use a yoyo when it’s slow and I need something to keep me awake. I’ve been into yoyo since I was little, starting with an all maple fixed axle from the Klutz yoyo book. Gotta figure out what box that ended up in… Anyway, in middle school and high school, right around when the late 90’s craze was going on, I started to be impressed with the more interesting string tricks and picked up a Fireball. Since the early 2000’s, haven’t played too much, but decided to pull out the old Fireball recently and look up some new tricks.

Found yoyoexpert, loved all of the info on here, and learned that I could get a ball-bearing yoyo to learn unresponsive. I ordered a Velocity, some strings, some thin lube, and got workin’. Polished off the last few of the intermediate tricks on here in no time and I’m currently working on a handful of the advanced tricks. I’ve been watching the vids on here and lovin’ tricks that have lots of movement, so things based on matrix, Mcbride rollercoaster, slacks, exaggerated suicides, etc, and got some motivation to really work my way through the advanced list to get the basics of these techniques down.

I’m not a big poster on forums, but I’ll be around frequently, browsing interesting conversations and chiming in on the occasion my limited knowledge permits real contribution.

Welcome! Good Luck on those advanced tricks
