Hello my name is Donald
I am new to yoyoing. I just got into it via juggling. I have been juggling for a few years now and was looking for something that I could do at places that I could not juggle like bus stops.
My yoyo collection is growing very quick already. I have 13 yoyos already and 3 more on the way.
What appeals about yoyoing the most to me right now is 2A. I would very much like to be able to do two handed inside loops.

Wow Dea! 3 months? Pretty awesome. Keep it coming!

Welcome to Yoyoexpert

Sounds like you really like yoyo collecting so far. There is a whole section about that kind of stuff!

You are also just like me, 2a was my favorite when I started, I still am not that good, but practice makes perfect.

Hope you perfect your loops and enjoy it here ;).

I am a novice yoyo-er. But an avid collector, and have 30+ yo’s in my collection. However, I am looking for an aluminum yo, that I had stumbled across a long time ago. As I recall it, it was a brushed silver aluminum yo-yo that had a logo of what I seem to think was a black printed logo of a boy performing a walk the dog trick on the hubs. Does anyone know who makes it and what model it is? thank you in advance for any replies or leads.

Might you be thinking of the Rebel Macrocosm? Definitely a worthy collector’s item. And welcome to the forums (although you might want to consider coming up with a username other than your email address)!

Thank you, again. Now, How would I go about changing my profile name? I go to the settings etc. and there is no option to change it.

You’ll have to private message a moderator to do it for you. The feature to change your name was removed.

Skirtz is online right now, I’m sure he’d be happy to do it. lol

Nope, isn’t the Rebel Macrocosm.

Hello everyone,

I was big into yoyos when the original Spin Faktor was THEE yoyo to have. Basically, from around '98 to 2003. Sadly, I got through all of the tricks I could find (basically the whole intermediate section here) and just sort of dropped it.

A few weeks back I was hanging with some friends and one came up with a yoyo. I thought I would give it a whirl and lo and behold, I couldn’t get it to come back up. He then explained where yoyos were today and I knew I had to look into it again. I could never get the yoyos to sleep long enough or stay asleep, so this new unresponsive system intrigued me. A few weeks later here I am, back in the saddle and getting my feel back. The yoyos today are amazing and are so much fun to throw. I have found binding alone to be a lot of fun.

Anyways, that’s my story. Nice to meet you all!

Nice to meet you, Thelonius!

I felt the same way! These unresponsive throws sleep for so long! Heck I had no idea about ball bearing’s being used! Imagine that gem… I think the last yo yo I bought back in the day was a Yomega Panther and that was a step up from the Duncan Imperials and Butterfly’s. Yeah… I said step up. If someone came up to me with a Dark Magic II, I would have felt like a caveman. I might have thought they were from the future or a possible witch! Metal yo yo? That did not exist. The term ABEC had only started being talked about in regards to skateboards! :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice story!

I hope you advance all the way to the Master Section ;).

We are definitely from the same school then :stuck_out_tongue:
Hell, the yo-yo the guy was using was a yyf ONEstar and when he said it was only $15 I couldn’t believe it. All that sleep for almost nothing. My original Spin Faktor, which I thought was THE BOMB then, was $65 new. It still sleeps pretty well but the o-rings broke and so now it hurts a tonne if it comes up fast.
Anyways, Nice to meet you, GregP, and Bcmaddog!

Hopefully you are right Bcmaddog

Hi, my name is Brendan and I am 13, I practice three three to five hours a day. I am really interested in yoyo-ing and hope to be noticed one day. My favorite yoyo is by far the YYJ Dark Magic 2, it is the best yoyo of all time for your money, and looks sweet! my favorite trick is definitely revolutions, from the time I saw it to the time I learned it to now. I first learned about this website when my friend brought his yoyo to school and I saw it and thought what a waste of time. I quickly got attached to it when I used it, then I got my own and he told me to check this website out and now I hardly go a day without being on here and DEFINITELY do not leave the house without a yoyo with me

Hey everyone, I’m 15 years old and love yoyoing. My favorite throw right now is the y-factor but I hope to buy a summit.

Hey guys im Sean,

I’ve 15 been yoyoing on and off for years but never seriously until recently, my main throw is a YYF Supernova but I am in know why deserving of it and my collection seriously trumps my playing ability. Been working my way through the advanced and expert tricks in the learn section really helpful.

Hi I’m Dan, I’m 16 and I started yoyoing after my 2 week long stay at the hospital from from a minor surgery which led to internal bleeding, I lost so much blood I almost died (yes I mean die, I am not exaggerating), so my parents were forced into allowing the doctors to give me a blood transfusion, after a few dozen blood tests I found out I could not do any extremely physical sport, or else my heart could fail. Learning I had this condition that affected everything from my skeletal system to my heart. I felt like my world was over and all I could do was sit on the couch, and after about 2 month of not leaving the couch, I had a FIRST robotic comp, we had to arrive early because of a storm, so the hotel wasn’t ready for us yet, we went to the New Hampshire mall. One of the kids on the team bought a yoyo and i thought hey that looks cool, so i bought one, I liked it so much that when i got home I bought a better one. Annd thats how i started to yoyo.

Wow, that’s really impressive for 2 months, Dea! Very few people can pull off a chopsticks suicide at that experience level. Even I can’t (well, maybe I could if I actually practiced it XD).

Hey all! My name is George, I live in New Mexico and started throwing when I was a whippersnapper of 7. Unfortunately I stopped after about 4 years and have only recently got back into it at 21. I’m a college student and the best yo-yo I’ve got that my budget allows for at the moment is my Yomega Maverick. Once a thrower, ALWAYS a thrower! Lookin forward to trading some tricks with this awesome community!
