Introduce Yourself!

Hi,

I’m Shaun from Johannesburg South Africa.

Just bought my first yoyo, and am busy learning to bind return so I can start learning tricks.

Thanks
Shaun

Hey! I am Ab,i am 24 and i’ve been throwing for about 7 months now. I started throwing out of nowhere. My friend and i were at a toy store and we saw a duncan video playing on a stand full of Imperials, she was immediately fascinated by it, so i told her: “If you promise to get crazy good with it ill buy you one”,i played with it non stop that day… after i got home i did a bit of research and found out about what yoyoing is nowadays. About to weeks after that i bought a Popstar, and after that day i haven’t been able to keep my hands of a yoyo for a single day.

Yoyoing has become one of the main things in my life, i enjoy it a lot and want to share it with people, i am going to start teaching people how to yoyo. Right now i am constructing a website so people in Mexico have a place to get all the info on yoyos, the site is www.yoyomexico.com. I am also going to be doing a vast amount of tutorials.

I am also going to worlds this year! See you there!

Wow that’s awesome! Welcome aboard

My name is Philip. I have been yoyoing since December 2010. My favorite division is 4a, but I also do a little 2a. Yoyoing is definitely my favorite thing to do. My favorite players are constantly changing, but i have always liked Peter Pong, John Narum, and Zach Gormley.

Hello everyone on the forums, I’m Derren, and i like yoyoing…if you have any questions for me don’t be afraid to ask, I’m pretty open about a lot of things. Also if you could, teach me how to use the forums, i would be very thankful, I’ve spent the last ten minutes trying to figure out how to reply to messages and create posts. Anyways, thats all. I hope to speak with you guys!

Hey everyone. im Bleshy_Barclay. i am an intermediate player. im planning to get a freq wave by either the end of april or on may 25. the bac in golden gate park. hope to see you guys there!! my cuz is competing.

My name is Robb Weinstock from Las Vegas and I was bit by the Yo-Yo bug 2 months ago when my kids’ friends started picking them up. I am a professional close-up magician and it has been a fun and fast progression for me. Started with an Xodus II and really wanted to get into string tricks. Picked up a Maverick and threw in a Dif E Yo bearing to learn how to bind. Just got a Crucial Cupcake and I am glad I spent so many hours with the Maverick. The Crucial Cupcake throws like a dream. I love the grooved bearing which keeps me centered…literally and metaphorically! I’ve gotten all the tricks dialed in on the Intermediate section of the website and have Matrix in the advanced fairly smooth. I’m working on throwing in that second loop and am having difficulty timing the wrap of the string around by finger to get that extra loop. Next endeavor is Zipper. My son (11) just ordered a Dark Magic 2 which I’m more excited about than him so he’ll keep his oven mitts off my Cupcake!

Hey, my names Robert, I started yoyoing a few years ago but stopped and now I’m back; my current yoyos are the yyf skyline, the yyf g5 the yyj dm2 the and yyj phenomizm. My favorite is either the g5 or the phenomizm and my favorite trick is the matrix…hoping to get better because I kinda suck right now but oh well :).

Hey I’m Jared, I started Yo-Yoing then stopped but now I am taking it u again. I use the dark magic 2 but want the phenom. I am not amazing but I would say I’m a beginner. I am kinda in between intermediate and advanced. I can do a couple expert tricks on this sight though.

Hello my name is alex, I am 24 years old. Iam from Germany. Maybe some of you know me from the German ILYY forum, there I am a Moderator.

Welcome everybody!

Hello, all;
My name is Christopher A. Neal, but I also reply to simply “Chris”. Been playing for about 25 years on and off, but the past few months have been ‘on’ with a vengeance. I’ve started learning a bunch of new moves (thanks to the wonderful videos on this here site), and have also been collecting- I currently have 26 yo-yos, and am always adding more. Favorites include, but are not limited to: the Duncan ProYo when I want to regress to my earlier days but don’t want to anger myself by throwing an Imperial, the Yomega Raider when I’m in a looping and basic string play mood (rock the baby, Eiffel Tower, etc.), the Hummingbird Smothers Brothers model when I’m feeling the vintage vibe, and the YYJ Dark Magic 2 for the more difficult stuff (I usually have it unresponsive). Skill-wise, I’m intermediate, but always trying to learn more and improve. I’ve been messing around with two hand and freehand a bit, but lately it’s been all about unresponsive.
I’m looking forward to learning more, talking shop, and getting to be a better thrower!

Sup i am Sławek from Poland but they call me ginger; p just started with yoyo about 4 weeks ago, i am already using YYF 888x and QU4DRO, at start i had YYF velocity

Hi y’all, my name’s Tim

Started getting into the yoyo in college, but once all the upperclassmen graduated and school started getting more serious I just left all my yoyo’s to gather dust. It’s been about 3 years and one of those college buddies decided to get me back into it. He kept spamming my facebook with videos until I gave in. So here I am trying to pick things back up. Realized my arsenal was a bit outdated so I recently picked up the Sakura SE by One Drop and ILYY, and the FLOW by spin dynamics. Hopefully I won’t be too rusty at this.

Hey my name is Alex Smith and I just started the yo-yo with a Ann Connolly Championship edition whip. I started out at first with a fast eddy yo-yo and got real good at it. Then my friend Noah bought my whip and i love it because its a very good yo-yo. Every day I’m getting better with my bros Noah, and Tanner. Thanks to my cousin I got into the yo-yo. Thank you ]   :o ::slight_smile:

Hi I am Jt and I am a 13 year old yo-yo-er. I normally use onedrop for my yoyos.

Hello Everyone. My name is Shawn. I am 15 years old. Currently a beginner in Yoyo. I am currently an Advanced Kendama Player and got into Yoyo when alto my friends had bought Yoyo’s. My current yoyo is a Magic N12 which I ordered today and should be here next week

Well, it all started about a week ago. I found an old Yomega X-Brain that I used to play with back in middle school. The last time i used it was back in the late 90s when yo-yoing became mainstream again for a few years. So I threw it a few times, and did whatever tricks I could remember. When I was done I did some research online and found out about this new generation of yo-yos and yo-yo enthusiasts. Long story short, I wound up buying the YYF ONE just to see what modern yo-yo was all about.

I’m currently hooked all over again, and mastering the my first new tricks in 15 years

SUP guys? i’m new to yoyoexpert and love it allready  i was watching how to videos on youtube and thats how i found this site. im new to the hobbie. i had some yomega yoyos when i was yonger but never really got into it. hopefully (soon) i will get a YYF 888 to learn more tricks on… currently i have a modded duncan butterfly :frowning: it can do the basic tricks but i want to step it up some lol any of you guys or girls from illinios that yoyo?? if so hit me up

Welcome! I would not recommend an 888, I would instead grab a Capless!
