I’m Shaun from Oklahoma. My grandpa got me into yo-yoing about six years ago. I’m on and off but in recent years have gotten more into it. I have fond memories of my old FAST 201 and used a Velocity for about two years until I got myself a Speed-Dial. I’ve just gotten Brain Twister figured out and am practicing Stop-and-Go.
hey, i’m sean from baltimore, md. saw a cool video on reddit, found their community, found this community, got my first throw in the mail yesterday(new velocity) and didn’t put it down for six straight hours. have a history of object manipulation(juggling, specifically contact juggling) so i can see myself being obsessive over this for a while.
excited to see communities in MD and VA, i’ll be looking for meetups! feel free to contact me if you’re around baltimore, i’m excited to already be talking to the nova guys, too!

Hello everyone,
I’m Chris, I’m 16 and I just started to really yo-yo after seeing an old yo-yo I had and remember having some fun with it. I hope to become really good one day, and maybe even compete in competitions, but I think that will be a few years.
Hello, my name is Cesar, 31yo musician from Brazil. I always thought yo-yos are awesome and played with them my whole childhood. But I never got at any amazing level and can only do some basic tricks. Inspired by my musical hero, Jason Becker, I started yoyoing again I still suck, but at least I’m trying lol
Hello Everyone,
My name is not important, I am 36 years old and I live in lower Alabama.
I had several yoyos when I was a kid but that was about 28 years ago.
Anyway my wife picked me up a wooden yoyo souvenir on her last trip
to Europe and I was hooked. Since then I found this site and got a friend
of mine into it and we use the site all the time. The videos and articles are
Priceless. In a relatively short time (2 months) we have learned a lot, I even pulled off Buddha’s Revenge today. (Yes, I still suck but I did it) lol. Anyway thanks for the great site! Also, Mega thanks to Andre Boulay for making all the videos and having them available for free.
Thank You !!!
Hello Yo-Yo Community!!
My name is Ian Bender. I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to sign up on here I’m super excited to be apart of the forum with you guys. I started my journey into yo-yo ing at Worlds 2010. I was part of the film crew for Dawn’s “World On A String” Documentary. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I signed up with her…but I’m so glad that I did! You guys were so great to be around at Worlds and I wish I had had more time to spend with you all. Everywhere that my work takes me I seem to run into someone who throws and it has ALWAYS been a pleasant experience. Thank you guys for that, it’s rarely seen these days.
Please, feel free to message or chat with me or find me on facebook.
It’s nice to see new people!
Hello all. My name is Nuclearbreath (aka Nuke). I’m from Alabama and I have begun yoyoing as a result of my accomplice at work getting into them. I’m currently yoing with a dark magic II. Its my only unresponsive yoyo at the moment, but in the future I plan to try my luck with a general yo, or something similar. Right now I’m happy with the DM2. I’m learning tricks using Andre’s videos at the present, and so far the kwyjibo is my favorite trick. So I’ll see you guys around the forum.
Hey guys, I’m new to yoyoing, other than slinging the ole “Duncan” when I was little. I’m looking for the arrival of my first yoyo in about a week. It’s a “Fast 201”. I know nothing about them. I assume it’s better than the “Slow 201” or even the “Fast 200”. Plus, it’s made at THE “Yo Yo Factory” (which is better than shoe factory, I guess). Anyway, I’m also in to cars and own a Lotus Esprit S4 (hence the “300HP!”). Can’t afford one of the fancy yoyos, 'cause currently I’m also saving up for a Les Paul.
Just wanted to say hello.
Sup my name is Victor and i am newbie to the forums. I study bio-chem as my major and love the play fighting games. Love to hear whats a great first metal yoyo as i am ready to move on from my DM2
Hey Everyone!!
My name is Alexa and 21 years ago I was born on April Fool’s Day! I am currently a senior in college, anxiously waiting to graduate and attend graduate school for Physician Assistant studies. About 5 months ago, I picked up my first yoyo, a red YoYoFactory Velocity, and instantly fell in love with it. About two weeks later, I’ve moved on to my first aluminum yoyo, a black Yomega Maverick, and it’s a smooth ride, let me tell you! HA! With this yoyo, I also experienced my first “shot to the tit” while trying to do the Tidal Wave; all you yoyo ladies out there can relate to how painful it is taking an aluminum yoyo to the boob! Anyway, from there I moved up to a hot pink Dark Magic II and it is my all time favorite yoyo! I love it so much, I decided to buy another one (blue) just so I can have a spare with a different bearing and poly string!
. I have to Thank Andre Boulay for teaching me everything I know (through the tutorial videos, of course)! Recently I’ve purchased a translucent pink Big Ben and just started learning offstring with Ben Conde’s videos! Absolutely amazing and unbelievably fun!
Wellp, I want to thank you for reading my post! I’m glad to be apart of the YoYoExpert community and excited to learn more about yoyoing! It’s definitely the funnest addiction anyone can have!
Cheers!
Alexa
Hey, my name is Andrew Lindberg. I am a music freak and enjoy all fine arts, i am currently a junior and 17 this coming September. I’m a rookie at yoyo-ing and a noobie at the forums, I’m trying to get better, and pick up a few things from people. If you have any advice for me that would be awesome. Thanks!
