Introduce Yourself!

Welcome Evan, we hope you enjoy the forums and continue to hone your skills
Meet people and get to know your friends, and it’s highly doubtful you’ll make enemies, the majority of the people here are easy going. By the way, if you don’t mind me asking, what part of California are you from?

Hello everyone! My name is Matt. I used to throw a lot and competed in some local contests and also competed ine the F.A.S.T. 201 challenge for the New England area years ago and placed 3rd. then stopped throwing. I’m just now getting back into throwing and it is way different from what I was used to. I got myself a Phenomizm from a friend who throws. I’m overwhelmed with the different options of throws and everything now. I may have some questions and I hope not to annoy you guys. As for Favorite trick? Right now I would have to go with the plastic whip or Kwijibo, They just look really cool to me.

Welcome!

Sounds like you’re well on your way. C=

Hope you like it here.

Hey man, dont worry questions are what this forum is for! We were all where you are at one point!

Hi my name is Isaac. I’m eleven years old and I’ve been yo-yoing for two or three months. I
Got interested in yo-yoing just looking at it. It was amazing. My favorite yoyo is the whip. It’s a really great yoyo. I can do alot of intermediate tricks and I practice the ones that are hard. Yoyoing is something I will never let go, it’s so fun and amazing. ;D

Welcome to the forum, Isaac!

thanks for the advice man! i appreciate it! that actually what ive been doing i usually try to learn tricks in 3 trick incriments so when i get a lil frustrated with one i got two others until i get them all down and then move on to another three and then i can practice three times the tricks and really hone my skills haha.im learning split the atom right now a a few others its kinda confusing ha but im surprised i even can almost do it in an hour of practice! and im having so much fun!

Once you get comfortable with your new tricks, try to work them into one big combo. It sounds impossible, but you will be doing 5-10 trick combos in no time.

Hello there! My name is Marcius and I’ve just started playing with my yo-yos again! Stopped playing about 4 years ago and when packing up my house I found my long abandoned first run M1 with the .555 silicone pads and my B-Grade Grind Machine 2. My favourite trick would probably be Yuuki slack because it’s the first slack trick that I learn and it’s also a great crowd pleaser. Although I primarily do 1A, I can do basic 2A (ie double loops) and some basic 4A and 5A tricks. Never really attempted to do 3A because it kinda scares me :P.

I hope to learn more and try my best to contribute to the forum!

Welcome back to the most amazing hobby ever!

Hi, names Wax. I just recently bought my first yoyo’s, not quite 2 weeks ago, since then I’ve managed to get a number of hours practice In. I’ve mainly been learning with a PGM V2, though just today I got my hands on a Mutant DNA and i must say after playing around with it a bit it feels very nice. Are these appropriate yoyo’s to be learning with? I did get myself a FAST 201 and a Velocity under the impression that building up from responsive to unresponsive was the way to go, but i barely touched them and instead just used the PGM, learned how to bind and have been building up from there.

Welcome!

Sounds like you’re making progress.

Keep it up it takes time but once you can do some really neat tricks it’ll be hard to put it down.

Well hope you learn a lot and have lots of fun.
