Hi everyone, I was part of the yoyo craze back in the 90s but Iāve been out of it for at least a decade and Iām trying to get back into it again. I brought out my Sleep Machine but am now confused by all the advances in response systems and string. I already knew how to trapeze back then and will try to get into more string tricks in the coming future.

Hehe, i was from the craze in the 90ās too. At that time my most āimpressiveā trick was rock the cradleā¦ my how times have changed. If youāre anything like me youāll pick all the new stuff up pretty quickly, welcome to the forum 
Hello all! My name is Matt. I was born in Florida and I still live there today. I currently own the YYJ Speeder 2, the YYJ Dark Magic II, and the Duncan Metal Drifter. I normally use my Speeder 2. I started yo-yoing when my friend Cory from school Brought his Metal Drifter and did some intermediate tricks on it. After that me and friend, JJ both bought Metal Drifters at Toys R Us. We found AndrƩ Boulay on YouTube and learned beginner and intermediate tricks from him. Once we reached the advanced section summer vacation began and we decided that our Metal Drifters were not good enough for advanced tricks. After summer vacation Cory came back to school with a YYJ Meteor, JJ and I came to school with a YYJ Dark Magic II. About a couple months later I upgraded to a Speeder 2, JJ upgraded to a Phenomizm, and Cory upgraded to a Phenom. We currently yo-yo a lot at school and continue to get better.

Hi, Iām Matt and a 31 yr old married dad of 2 from the UK.
I decided earlier this year that I wanted to try and mess around with yoyos and about 5 weeks ago bought a cheap Duncan butterfly and a Duncan Imperial just to see if Iād use them. About a week later, mainly influenced by Andre on the videos here, I bought a Dark Magic 2 and have now added a ceramic Konkave to it and a polyester string. Iām still pretty rubbish mainly flicking between over and under mounts, and trapeze.
Otherwise, Iām a software engineer who loves various music styles, playing computer games and watching sitcoms and satirical panel shows.
I would get a Preludde and a SPEED Bearing for later triccks. If you get pretty good, maybe get a Dark Magic 2

Hey all, Iām Ken. I got into yo-yoing a few weeks ago after getting a novelty yoyo from a friend. It started as a nice diversion at the office. I had seen this site before but not the forums until after it was recommended to me by an employee at a store. I started looking around here and I soon realized what a great resource and great community you all have here.
Currently throwing a Metal Drifter and have a DM2 on the way. Really fascinated with freehand play, but Iām still working on the basic stuff for now.

Sup all. Names Louis. New to this site and forums, Somewhat new to yoyo (Returning after a long long time actually) I live in Houston, TX which kinda blows (No offense) cause we only have Toys R Us which is pretty much the only toy shop that I know of to get yoyos. Thats when I searched online and found yoyoexpert.com. I started out with 2 Yomega fireballs and 2 Duncan Pulse yoyos and found out looping tricks are kinda hard because the tangle much faster. So I jumped away from 2A and decided to try 1A. Didnāt think I had the reflex for this but turns out I have some skill since i didnāt bash my face yet. Started out with a Dark Magic 2 which was awsome, and now just got a Protostar. (and 2 loop 900s cause I like looping now and then). Looking forward to see lots of great tips from here. ;D

A couple weeks ago, while waiting for my PGM, I mod my Proyo wooden axle into bearing with hubstack. The result is not as good as I expected but I have fun doing it ;D
