Introduce Yourself!

Sup! Name’s Mark. I usually hang out in the Onedrop forums. I just realized that I don’t have an account here so I made one.

hi everyone my name is ryan.i started yoyoing since last year(2010) i’m still quite bad at it but hope to inprove. my fav player is tyler severance and Jensen Kimmit. thx for reading! ;D

Heya. Decided to get into yoyo’s for when I dont have time for Starcraft 2. Used to own a fireball a few years back and am capable of all the beginner stuff. Just ordered a dark magic II so I can really get into. Cant wait for it to come in the mail.

Hmm, some stores must not have them, or mabey they were just out of stock. Walmart will probably have some duncan mosquito’s but those won’t be a huge improvemant.

Hey my name is Christian and I’m a girl yo-yo player. I’m learning from my friend Odile who is also a girl yo-yo player. She start teaching me yo-yo during Christmas of 2010 and told me to buy my yo-yo’s from this website. I live in Ohio and I’m 15 and since I just started I’m not that great. I hope to get better though with more practice and start a yo-yo club at school with Odile. And with more practice she wants to go to competitions together. I’m still not sure which yo-yo’s are “good” to buy and other things like that so I still need help. Other than that it’s a pleasure to meet you all!

I ordered a Lyn Fury last night and should be here early next week.

Hello my name is Slade Riggs and I am 17. I decided to get a yoyo at Walmart and that was a duncan mosquito. Soon I was looking up tricks online and I found this site and I think you can guess the rest. My favorite yoyos so far are the yyj axiom, the spyy speed freak and yoyorecrecreation dreadnought G. I am currently waiting on a Primo from yyf and I hope it lives up to the hype. My favorite tricks would have to be the suicides, all the variations, and I am still trying to learn them all.

Hey I’m Bobby

My old username on the boards was CapMorgan. I used to work with Dave Bazan at Buzz-On industries store in Bedford. Been throwing since 2005 and still have some Old School sick throws. My gold ano bead blasted Oxy IV being the gem of my collection.

Hope to get back in the scene and maybe hit up some contests near Texas, and hopefully worlds later this year!

Hi!
I’m a Hungarian man!
Watch my video(s):

So my favorite yoyo is my journey I just got in the mail two days ago.
I waited to post here till I had something better than the duncan butterfly I got in middle school.
My favorite trick is “stop and go.” Its also the most recent one I have learned going through the tutorials here.

Awesome tutorials by the way.

Hey I am Rantz. That is where my username comes from. I am 23.
I’ve been on the site for a few weeks, but am finally introducing myself.
I learned to throw many years ago during the yomega boom. I got bored with it and left it dormant for a while. I came back to it during high school and then again in college (each time getting better and better), but always felt held back by the technology. Now I have recently discovered the new technology and it feels exciting again like it did when I was a kid. Based on the current scaffolding of tricks, I am a high advanced player.
I am organizing my students to start a yoyo club at school. I sort’ve use it as an incentive sometimes with students.

Hello. My name is Matt. I’m from Poland  My favorite yoyo is Dark Magic 2. I am 17. I’ve been playing yoyo a three months.

Hello everyone. My name is Tom. I just recently took on perfecting my yo yo technique with more than passing interest. I have no favorite yo yo yet, but do own several Yomegas and a Duncan Profly. I am in training mode and hope to move up to a longer sleeping yo yo as soon as my confidence improves. This forum along with the myriad of videos and posts of advice provides more than enough help for anyone yearning to become a yo yo expert. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi, My internet name’s Hilton King. I’ve been yo yo ing for years. One of my favorite tricks is Shockwave. These days I can be seen playing with a Hit Man Professional or a YYF Rockstar. I don’t know where I found out about this site. I’ve been coming here for tricks for a long time. I would like to exchange tips on tricks. Any questions, ask 'em.

Wait till your butt gets home. >:(

Hello, everyone, my name is Colin. I’m 25 and yoyoing for the first time in about eight years. The last yo-yos I sported were a Cherry Bomb, Da Bomb, and a Bumblebee. God knows where those are now. I haven’t spun them in years. I learned to juggle and spin a top (lousily) when I first started playing, and while I’ve kept up the juggling, I hadn’t used a yoyo until I bought another Bumblebee last month. Either the manufacturing quality has diminished in the last decade, or I have been fooled by my nostalgia, but this yo-yo is falling far short of what I’d like. Maybe I just suck. That’s it.

Anyway, I thought I’d join the forums to help figure out what I’m really looking for in a new yo-yo. I’m shopping around right now for a Dark Magic II, but I’m still researching for a better looping yo-yo, because I still suck at that.

hey names Alex. Well this is my yo-yo story thus far, I first got into yo-yoing in the 6th grade when I got a yomega fireball…I never was that good with it and only learned walk the dog, and a lame forward pass…I had just learned around the world when the string broke which pretty much ended my yo-yo fun…about a month and a half ago (8ish years later) I saw a yomega fireball for sale at one of those mall stores that are in the middle of the walkways for about 5 bucks and it came with 5 strings, I bought that and found that I still retained my knowledge of dog walking and world rounding but was curious on what else I could do so I looked up some tricks on youtube where I found Andres training vids (which are epic I must add…much Kudos to mr Boulay for investing the time and patience)…I started to get more tricks down till the fireball stopped sleeping (still dont know why) so I started to train myself on loops instead. I got pretty good with those till (you guessed it) the string broke and the yo-yo broke against the wall, so now I’m waiting for a dark magic 2 that I ordered here and will hopefully be learning some good string tricks pretty soon, and yes I invested in some polyester string (not taking my chances with cotton again lol)

P.S. I rather enjoyed looping, a lot of the yo-yos I see here are butterfly shaped or built for string tricks…could anyone tell me which yo-yo is good for looping? thanks

I’m no expert on looping but I like the Duncan Speed Beetle.
