ello, new here.
i have been quite stressful in life for the past year and recently youtube suddenly pop out a yoyo video for me and it seems to be quite relaxing doing the yoyo tricks in a slower and smooth pace.
so i decided to giv yoyo a try and hopefully can release some stress
i ordered myself a speedaholic xx and an atmos butterball, hope i can receive them by next week and start throwing

Yo-yo is great for stress! When life gets overwhelming, throwing can be very relaxing

Speedaholic is a great yoyo especially for a plastic. Just be careful with it..almost put my in the hospital

Welcome!! Two very nice choices. Butterball is one of all time favorites. Do you have a learning path? Understand unresponsive? I started with “the first 50 yo-yo tricks”. Give it a google search. Let us know if you need help.

im following both skill addicts app and the first 50 yoyo tricks as i found skill addicts app lack the explanation
currently having trouble with undermount, cant seems to be able to move my non throw hand finger to push the yoyo as i wanted it

Excellent. I’ve heard good things about skills addict. What I liked about yyt was the consistent format of videos and the level up section so you can keep track.
some movements at first feel awkward until you do it 2-3 (100) times. Eventually it happens without thought. Keep at it. Reps reps reps.

Hi my name is Nicolas, my favorite yoyo is the toy factory canon. I found this forum because I’m trying to buy the mini titanium yoyos that Lagrange/ bangarang, both were made my lathedbackdesign. I always wanted them but when they released I couldn’t get either of them. I’m hoping someone here will have them and be willing to sell them to me.

Hello all, my name is Joseph and I have been throwing for about a year now. Bought an iCEBERG back then as my first real yoyo and I basically haven’t put it down since. Looking into 3a at the moment but not sure about the best choice for yoyos.

Heya! You can call me Celeste, I am in my 20s and from Canada. I just got into throwing in August! Been having a lot of fun so far, one of my first yoyo was a Koi gifted to me by my more than amazing girlfriend. So far no favorites tricks or anything, I am just practicing the basics.
Was Introduced to throwing abd this forum by my aforementioned girlfriend and I gotta say it look like a very pleasant place to be. So, happy to be with y’all!!

Hi friends! Both new and old.
My name is Dustin. Ive been throwing since 2013 and recently returned after taking a many year hiatus. During which time I focused mainly on kendama. Back then I was hard into CLYW then a bit later fell in love with titanium.
My collection was solid for a while by has been whittled down to core throws but is going to start growing slowly again. I used to make boutique yo-yo strings called Heart Strings. I poured a hundred hours into R and D for these and is probably one of the best/finest things I’ve ever produced. I still have some left over back when I made them. Maybe 60 or so. More than enough t to last the rest of my life for sure. So that’s good cause im not sure how I’d be able to build them again. I had a special place built for the rig in a previous house but it was special to that address and have since moved.
I have the materials to produce more but to re-discover the right length, tension, timing of winding etc, I don’t see myself diving back into that. So what I’ve got is it for the long haul.
I am a long time object manipulation artist, retired didgeridoo performer, bedroom edm and ambient producer (MooseyFate), Chain mailer artisan, kite maker and enthusiast, RC flight specialist, freshwater shrimp keeper. Into video and board games, magic the gathering, and spend time with deep challenges especially Go (greatest board game ever) and Kendama.

favorite strings - my very own HeartStrings (TheWhite) Nylon/Nylon blend fatter than thin and thinner than fat, somehwere in the middle and its the sweet spot for sure
Dream Throw- I’d like another AMS Tundra so I can keep one under glass and shred the other without second thought. It plays too good to not play it but it’s so rare and valuable that I almost never do. It’s a shame really.
They should make another run of those exactly as is. No reason they can’t but I don’t see them choosing to do so.

Hey all - I’m QuantumLooper, Spacecat’s wife. Ive recently began picking up the occasional yo-yo and trying to learn a trick or two. Took my husband a long time to convince me, but Im here now and learning. He actually proposed to me with a green Duncan Butterfly over 15 years ago - just slipped the string on my finger and asked me to be his. It was his 3rd proposal to me, but the 1st with a yo-yo string so that must have been the trick.
I primarily like my Classic, and is mostly what I use - but SpaceCat has a bunch of others that i can pick up and play with.
I used to spin poi, and really liked them when they were on fire - but ive not lit them up in 15+ years since SpaceCat knocked me up the 1st time. Slowly working my way back to that and hoping to pick up a few skill toys along the way… and of course, prevent my husband from buying any further yo-yo’s on here because he’s out of control.

I knew she was lurking… I ordered 2 YYF Loop Classics to half-swap earlier this year, and was sent 4. Good thing, otherwise I wouldn’t have one for my left hand.
