Welcome Tucker!
So Iāve been lurking for a while and finally decided to start engaging a little while ago. I guess I can introduce myself as well.
Iām Brandon im just some middle aged guy with kids that likes to yoyo occasionally. My first yoyo that got me excited for yo-yos a Yomega Raider a long while back and I still have it even though itās in rough shape. I made a post about fixing it. I dropped yoyo for a while and then like a year ago I got a sage d fizz and all of a sudden I was hooked. Now Iām like 50 yo-yos deep and having a blast. Iām decent at looping and 0A and learning 1A but Iāve had a great time both on this forum and with my yo-yos.
Iāve really come to enjoy the yoyo community you all are pretty awesome and kind folk. I love all the knowledge sharing and passion for a shared interest.
Hi all, im Federico, Italian guy fell in love with yoyos since 2017! Unfortunately since that date the time to practise slowy decreased to almost none cause to work and sonsā¦recently i pick up my throws again due to my older son beeing interested into yoyoing. Hope to finally reach the skill i always want to achieve. Started with a Magic yoyo n12 then got a yyf czech point, yyf Edge (the original one) C3 Radius and my beloved YoyoRecreation Draupnir and POM Draupnir.
Welcome Brandon and Federico!
Ciao Federico, i am Alberto the guy that answered you in Yoyomaniacs in Facebook, welcome here mate!
Joined some time ago, but have never properly said āhiā
Iām Tomasz, from Poland (Tom is ok). Came back to yoyoing 1 year ago, after a hiatusā¦ of like a 20 years. So straight from Inifinite Illusions and Extreme Spin and Black doing the Black Hops to J Ralphās āOne Millions Mile Awayā just a moment ago on a movie uploaded somewhere somewhen, cause there was no YouTube back then
Now, being 20 years older and having much less time Iām equally into collecting as just having fun and progressing one day at a time.
Hey, yāall! I am TheMadComputerScientist (Kurt). Hereās a little bit about me:
Father, Husband, Mad Computer Scientist, Mathematician, Lay Theologian, Reader, I am the geek squad.
Iāve been playing with yo-yos since right around the time Duncan was acquired by Flambeau. I lay claim to no special skills at all. I hadnāt played in a very long time, but wanted to try out some of the newer yo-yos. Brian over at yoyotrĆcks.com helped me navigate my way through the evolution since my first Duncan Tournament Glitter. I played with Imperials throughout college in the early 80s and ProYos in the early 2000s. Iāve been away from the hobby for almost 2 decades.
Iāve added several yo-yos to the collection over the past couple of weeks. A DV888, Origen, El Mijo, and a couple of Initiators. Oh, and a couple of wooden Tournament Crossed flags.
Everything I have is set up for 0A right now cause thatās home to me. Iāve got a lot to learn. I donāt know anything about things like stalls & mounts etc. Right now Iām focusing on getting comfortable with these newer yo-yos and relearning the stuff from when I was younger.
Welcome! Glad youāre here!
Welcome Mr. Kurt.
Dont be ashamed of the 0A. There is a large contingent of us that love 0A fixed axel and Modern responsive play.
The introduction of stalls in this style has opened the door to new tricks over the last decade. Along with Modern Responsive 5A play.
We have a great community here. Read around, jump into some of the threads, and dont hesitate to ask questions.
Have fun.
Thanks for the welcome. Love the handle.
Welcome to the forum
Wow thats awesome man yea we all had imperials and i remember pro yos back then. Times have changed huh now its all metal better bearings strings have gotten really good. Thrs still excellent plastic throws out thr too
@Marchew and @MadComputerScientist ā¦. Welcome! It sounds like you both have a long history with yoyo. Thatās awesome and glad you both found your way back.
Howdy! Feels like Iām learning to walk all over again.
Hello! Iām Mori, and live in NE. I started learning to yoyo late last year, and have fallen deeply in love with the hobby. There isnāt much of a local yoyo scene at all here, so Iām hoping for some opportunities to learn tricks as part of a group - I came here because of the trick-a-week thread. My favorite throw is the C3yoyoDesign Laevateinn, and when im not practicing Iām learning language, playing video games, or watching movies with robots in them. Looking forward to meeting some of you!!
And hereās my collection!
Welcome aboard to all the new members. Iām glad you joined us!
Nice collection and welcome
Very nice that you are here.
At one time, I was known as the Mad Scientistā¦
Welcome, Morgan. TAW is a great tool. Things seem to be a getting a little more advanced but @mable has taken great care to get it organized very nicely. Donāt be scared to go back and cherry pick something that suits you. The group is always willing to help! Good luck.
Those who know me call me the olā curmudgeon
