Thanks!

Welcome!

Whatā€™s up everyone? My nameā€™s Ronnie, and Iā€™m 37. I started throwing when I was in my teens, and feel out of it as I got older. I started throwing about two years ago after seeing some videos on Youtube, and have been having fun ever since. I do a lot of video editing and content creation, and enjoy making people smile with nostalgic yoyo tricks. So far my favorite is the 000, and as a lefty I really appreciate StringLabā€™s inverse string.

Looking forward to chatting, lurking, and will see everyone around!

Hi, Ronnie. Welcome.

Are you throwing the Ti 000? Have you tried the plastic? So good.

I wish I could afford a Ti 000 at this point but Iā€™m throwing the plastic one.

It physically hurt me to purchase an RBC at retail price. It would likely land me in the hospital to buy ā€œanyā€ titanium yo-yo.:rofl:

At some point Iā€™m gonna break and buy a ti executive but I got to really stack up the wife points first. Like really show I earned a dumb expensive purchase before pulling that trigger.

Hej everyone,

A friendly Reddit user recommended that I join here, so here I am. My name is Amon. I was born in the 80s and started yoyoing in the early 90s with a red Yomega Raiderā€¦ then I got a yoyo book by Henry and a white Viper (?).

After a few years, I acquired my first and only metal yoyo, the Pyro. Eventually, I stopped playing daily as my interests shifted towards parties and skipping school, etc.

Around 2005, my yoyo playing came to a complete haltā€¦ only showing my family or friends a trick maybe once a year. Perhaps when weā€™d accidentally find a yoyo while cleaning up, lying around in a drawer.

Now while that again happened i had so much fun playing my Pyro againā€¦ i started to play every day again. Cheers :v:

And thatā€™s how it starts. What a familiar story. The events vary but the core is always the same. Someone loved yo-yo, they left it off as they grew up, upon coming back to it later they realize how much they love it, then it sticks for good. Welcome.

Welcome back Tofu! Itā€™s great to find a long lost Love. I wish I found it sooner as I never played as a kid.

Btw, today I checked when the Pyro was actually released. According to yoyo.fandom, it was in 2005. I thought I had bought the Pyro in the early or mid-90s. Well, thatā€™s how memory can deceive youā€¦ So it seems I had a little yoyo phase starting in 2005ā€¦ I actually didnā€™t remember that, funny.

Nowadays, Iā€™m spending a lot of time on ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .com and learning more tricks.
This website is so awesome and really like how you can make your own list with favouriteā€™s etc.

Back then as now, Iā€™ve only managed to do the double or nothing and a few other tricks of similar difficulty level.

Hello there!
Iā€™m Will. Just getting back into throwing and restarting a collection. I had a small collection of about 10 yoyos that were stolen during a burglary last year. The one I miss most is my No Jive 3 in 1 that I had for so long, I donā€™t even remember where or when I got it. Probably in the mid 80ā€™s.
Iā€™ve replaced the 3 in 1, and have picked up a few more Tom Kuhns. Looking to build a small collection. So far, Iā€™ve added a No Jive Maple leaf, Diamond Special, Flying Camel Classic, and a Mandala. Enjoying the hobby again!

Idk where to type this, but I have been yoyoing or about 7 months now. I can go godspeed, do a little bit of tech, and my whips/slack are a little good. Im also only 12. Would I be considered ahead or behind?
