Introduce Yourself! 2023

as @Pinktweetybird said, there’s a lot you could get with even 100 these days, but if you would like something fairly competitive, but also a ton of fun, I highly recommend the UNPRLD Seiji.

Additionally, another small company that has come back from a several-year dormant time period, SF yoyos recently dropped the SF Motive again on Connor Seal’s website. I heard that yoyo is superb and a ton of fun to play with.

If you do have a bit more to spend, though, the Valhalla (and AL6 which I have) from G squared (same company as the Banshees) is excellent as well.

whats up my guy! Thank you for the awesome recommendations. Ive actually been eyeing the Klondike. Ive seen it mentioned a good bit but wasnt sure if it was a step in the right direction as ive never held one. I do see great deals on the BST and cant wait to get some deals over there. I have thrown a bimetal a few times and it was great but the ones i threw (cant remember the names) were really expensive. im thinking the were nearly 300 each. thats been a while ago and maybe they have come down a little since. I do like nice splash colors but solids are ok too if in my price range.

Ive actually thrown a Koi before. it was a few months back and kinda reminded me of the freesolo in play. probably not a popular opinion though lol. Other than that none of the others really stood out to me, but i havent looked at their bimetals before either. i will def check them out. thank you for your input!

hey! the banshee is a pretty competitive shape, so i recommend looking at any c3 yo-yos since a lot of them have a fast solid feel to them while not feeling heavy, i know the galaxy diver or speedaholic max are good picks. personally, though, i highly recommend either the Dressel Designs monarch or any clyw you can find. they have some of the best yo-yos i’ve ever used, but the monarch might be more what you’re looking for if you like a fun rim weight powerhouse

Welcome! I think this fits the bill ok. Otherwise, I’d recommend the YYF R type, Civility, Nucleon, or my all time favorite monometal, the Epiphanion. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235239973600

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for accepting my request to join the forum. It’s a true honor to become a part of this vibrant community of yoyo enthusiasts. I’ve been here a while but haven’t really posted a lot. I’ve been throwing off and on for over 25 years.

I am genuinely excited to share my passion for yoyoing with like-minded individuals and to learn from the collective wisdom and experience of this group. Your warm welcome has already made me feel at home, and I’m eager to contribute, grow, and connect with fellow members.

Thank you once again for this opportunity. I look forward to many engaging discussions and the camaraderie of this fantastic group.

Sf motive is so freakin good. It can lose spin time due to its width but it catches string like a dream its my fav SF. Thank goodness they back !

Oh well! Since it’s officially a year since I joined, heyo, I’m winter! A yoyoer whos been yo-yoing for a while now but have been too afraid to be out there in the community. An old soul that alternate from old to new yo-yoing. And an artist that rarely posts haha,

Catch ya on the flip side!

If you’d like to try some a bit more on the chill side look into atmos projects.

If the organic side of the equation isn’t in the cards then I will also vote for Klondike.

Yoyofriends too have a broad range of throws really to fit any wallet.

Hey all, I’m Daniel! I’ve been yoyoing since 2009 and recently decided to come back to the community after several years of life happening and taking a step back.

Super excited to be back! I’m throwing in the DFW area (if there are local groups please PM me! I looked through the forum for them and there aren’t any posts that have been active recently on the topic). I love OD, SPYY, and CLYW yoyos, and I mainly play 1A.

I competed a bit back in 2013 with my first competition at SCCR in Colorado, and Utah State prelims in 2017(?) and have done a bunch of talent shows, and other such performances off and on over the years.

I also play viola and am a very avid choral singer and have been singing in chamber choirs for the last 6-7 years and absolutely love the art form! I’m a big fan of Pokemon and enjoy running. Pleasure to meet you all!

Hi guys,
My name is Eli and I have been into yo-yos for about a year and a half now. I got a Duncan freehand for Christmas a couple years ago and had forgotten about it for a while. Then I picked it up one day and couldn’t put it down! I ordered a magic v3 within a week and have been yo-yoing of and on ever since. I am now throwing a yyf halo and am currently a few tricks away from completing the “First 50 tricks” list on that other site that teaches yoyo tricks. After taking a break over the summer I picked it back up and I am super excited to start learning some more advanced tricks soon. I have gone on this forum quite a bit for help with tricks and finally got around to making an account now. In addition to yo-yoing I also love cubing and playing the drums. Super excited to be here!
