Yoyoing is fun, and yoyoing builds friendship.
In 2010, I met Ahmad Karisma at the Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Championship. We love yoyoing and traveling, which is why we became good friends.
In November, he had a short transit in Hong Kong, and after bringing him to Yum Cha, we had a brief interview about yoyoing.
There are so many points of view where we are similar, and sometimes I am really touched by that.
Yoyo competitions can be quite brutal, but remember why we started yoyoing. Let’s have fun and enjoy it!
Please find the full ver in YouTube (HKYoyoWing), remember to subscribe, like, comments and share.
There will be at least 3 more interviews I will upload soon!
And below are the questions I had asked Ahmad Karisma
What first inspired you to start yoyoing? And how many years had you played yoyo?
Who were your biggest influences or mentors in the yo-yo community?
Can you share your yoyo setting with us?
Your tricks are very special, can you tell us how you create / learn those tricks? And how do you practice effectively to make it accurate?
So normally, how many hours do you play yoyo every weeks?
What’s the most challenging trick you’ve learned, and how did you conquer it?
How do you prepare mentally and physically for the yoyo competitions?
Are there any memorable moments or friendships you’ve made through yoyoing?
What other hobbies do you enjoy outside of yoyoing?
What advice would you give to newcomers in the yo-yo scene?
