Intermediate - need yoyo advice

Hi, so i got a yo-yo a few weeks ago a Duncan bumble bee. Its pretty cool but im finding it hard to do string tricks with.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice about an intermediate yo-yo for string tricks ? (not to pricey say $40-60). Also i live in the UK so i dunno were to get it either if any1 has any advice on that, so far all i found was amazon.co.uk (but i didnt look very hard  )

Thanks in advance.

A good yo-yo to start out for string tricks is maybe a Velocity or a popular Dark Magic. Take a look at my yo-yo guide for more info: SR's Nifty Little Yo-Yo Guide FOR BEGINNERS! UPDATED! - General Yo-Yo - YoYoExpert

Hope everything works out!

Or you can wait for the new YYF plastic releases!

you should try the dark magic it can be responsive and unresponsive by thightening or loosening the gap on it

I highly suggest read this:

And if you are buying yoyos in the UK, ready the PM you are getting in a short while.

Welcome to the YoYoExpert Forums, Volatile! We hope you like it here, as there are many nice members.

The price range you are looking for would provide the following:

Dark Magic, New Breed, X-ConVict, Hitman, Hybrid Hitman, Black Knight, Speeder, and Sigma Blade Zwei.

The Dark Magic is known for it’s intermediate-advanced play. It features a Hybrid response, one side starburst, one side o-ring, and can be responsive/un-responsive. Long spin times, a bit big, but no worries, metal weight rings, and is a perfect Yo-Yo.

The New Breed is newly designed, almost like the Dark Magic. However, this Yo-Yo is un-responsive. It has silicone o-ring response. It is a very wide Yo-Yo, long spin times, metal weight rings, and smooth on the string.

The X-Convict is designed off of the X-Con. The x-Con is no longer in production, but was prone to cracking. The X-ConVict features long spin times, wide weight rings, a unique shape as well as feel, and a perfect Yo-Yo that is worth it’s price.

The Hitman is almost like the X-ConVict. The only difference is it is 2.5 grams lighter, and 1mm bigger in diameter. It comes in Hybrid, or double o-ring. Both can be responsive/un-responsive. It has a comforting feel, and has long spin times, weight rings, and a fun Yo-Yo to play with.

The Black Knight is more of a round Yo-Yo. It plays amazing, and is very worth it to be in every collection. It has weight rings, and a cool shape/feel.

The Speeder is my favorite. It has long spin times, the Yo-Yo record holder for the longest sleeper, :o thin weight rings, a more narrower feel, Hybrid response, and is more prone to cracking where the bearing seat is. It is still a stunning Yo-Yo.

The Sigma blade Zwei was designed for 3A, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a good 1A player, either. It has nearly the same features as the Speeder.
