Was messing around tonight and have been able to do this consistently on a few yo-yos so I don’t think it’s a fluke, and these both have good string and bearings, and don’t snag otherwise.
Just pinching the string and plucking it, feeding that slack into the front of the YoYo for a slack bind.
If it is new, I would like to call it an “abduction bind” like a UFO abduction, because aliens rule
Careful with that knuckle buster. Looks cool but man it comes back fast.
I think you’re just doing a sky bind but the string is catching closer to your throw hand. Not completely sure though. It’s hard to scrub videos on IG.
That does seem pretty close to what I’m doing I think. Im basically pulling the string to my left and releasing it once the YoYo gets airborn, then dropping my throw hand to allow the string to get pulled into the gap (on the right side/“front” of the throw), and once I feel a slight pull on the string I lift my throw hand up, and then it comes up.
The “plucking” of the string seems to send a wave down it to start the feed into the gap
If you watch it in the forum mini window you can play it at a “custom speed” it looks like. I wish I framed the shot better, but I had to work quickly lol. Sneaking away while he is eating lunch rn lol
