what i would do is take a paper towel and dab around it then let it run for a while, perhaps a few sleepers, … it should run fine after that

Just play it out. Don’t put the sheilds back on the bearing.

mineral spirits or lighter fluid works to get lube out.

just wash the bearing again. OR play it until it wears in.
