Have you ever noticed sponsored players talking about how they can “never use this YoYo again” after dinging it? The only person who hasn’t done this is Brandon Vu.
Lmfao are you trolling? I hang out with several sponsored players all the time and not one of them has ever cared about a ding ever… in fact I would go so far as to say sponsored players care about dings less than any other group of yoyoers by a mile, they usually have quite a few of their preferred model so even if one is completely beat up beyond use they can just use another one or even request a more from their company.
Well that makes sense ? Why would a sponsored player getting free yo-yos care about dings ? Im talking about dings on my 100 dollar yo-yos that i paid for with my own cash .
The way I got over dinged throws.
I still like and perfer close to mint as possible…
( the definition of mint ) another discussion.
So I really liked a specific throw and I was picking up many different ano splashes because the anodizing was great, at the time the throw came out. To me they were awesome.
I was offered a dinged splash that I did not have. The price was less than release and the possibility of getting this colorway offered again was minimal. So I bought it. It has a deep divot on one side of the rim. It is smooth as any other of the others of the same make no damage. I can barely feel the divot when the throw is spinning, I have to concentrate. That can be difficult for me at times.
That throw is an EDC of mine.

That is why I like the YYF AMayZing sales
Life is dings, embrace them

Man dings are just part of yoyoing as everything else, there is no money to make on it, it’s just something that happen if you play with your stuff
Nah I can’t say that I’ve ever heard anyone say that. I don’t think that would be the companies making a big deal about dings and scratches either if it’s players that are saying that.
Maybe focus more on perfect tricks than perfect yo-yos. You can (almost) always replace a throw, but having fun with a yo-yo is not as easy to put a value on.
Lies so many yo-yos I own are not available and some are even one of a kind but that’s the plight of the collector…
For me, it was a stage. I’m not sure it’ll be the same for you, but I eventually just kinda automatically got past the stage where I worried about dings.
Yeah , thats fair ! I don’t necessarily actively worry about dings but i find when i do get them ir almost do I avoid that yoyo lol
If your yo-yos are not dinged your not playing hard enough. Heck your not Even trying, all that potential just like heat going right out the window. Play harder (circle r, circle c, copyright American Made YoYo 2024 all rights reserved)
Just play offstring!! You definitely won’t care about dings after that! That being said, don’t go out and buy a $100 flawless just to ding it up, and be warned, m4 axles can still break (I’ve broken like 5)
