How small is a Dingo?

I was wondering if anyone has some comparison shots of the One Drop Dingo. The Dingo compared to a Dark Magic or anything around Dv888 size would be fantastic. The Dingo looks great, but I have a feeling it is going to be WAY to small. Thanks.

It is pretty small, a little smaller than a Dv888. For comparion shots, just search for a Dingo review.

The Dingo is a pocket yo-yo, and it is going to be super small.

The official specs are:

  • Weight:

  • Diameter:
  • Gap Width:

    63g
    32mm
    46mm
    4.3mm

YYJ’s Dark Magic is about 41mm wide, and has a 54mm diameter. The Dingo can almost fit inside the metal rims of the DM.

Thanks, this post really helped me imagine it.

Also, I looked up some reviews (Thanks again Jump) at it seems its not SUPER small. It is a tiny yoyo, but not nearly as tiny as I imagined.

Im not sure you guys can answer this question for me, but for an upgrade from the Dark Magic, would the Dv888 or Dingo be better? I want a yoyo that will play great, and help me finish the majority of the advanced/expert tricks. I know the Dingo is unforgiving, but I think it will it help me become more accurate. Also, will the pocket size of the Dingo make it a worse player than the Dv888. I don’t really need a pocket yoyo, although it is a nice feature. I want a yoyo that will play the best, and in the end I will probably get both.

Personally, I’d get the Dv888. The dingo is great, but more as a pocket throw not as a main player.

Thats what I was assuming. Does the Dv888 feel wide? Strange question I know, but the Dark Magic feels somewhat proportionate to me, being that its the same width of the Dv888, yet its a good bit taller. Just wondering how holding the Dv888 feels. Thanks.

dv888 feels really wide in my hands but plays really really good

I think that the dv888 feels “normal”. It is not overly wide and is extremely stable.

If it’s unforgiving it’ll help you improve your throw greatly as you get used to it. Also because of the small size you can get out of small gaps easier (great for getting out of knots). I personally hated the DV888, it felt quite literally like a spinning brick. That was the hard coat edition so maybe the normal ones feel different. If not then I would rather get the dingo.

Shisaki- So the did the Dv888 feel heavy, what makes this spinning brick feeling occur?

Also instead of making a new thread, I’ll just ask this here. What do you guys think of the RecRev “i”. It has gotten great reviews and is 15 bucks cheaper. Would you guys recommend it offer the Dv888?

It just had a major ‘thud’ feeling on a throw. When you threw it the yoyo had no bounce whatsoever no matter what string you put on it.

The “i” Is amazing. My current favorite yoyo.
Stable, rounded shape, not too heavy, and undersize.
For 50 bucks you can’t beat it.
However those are my prefs.

Here is a dingo.  My hands are smallish.

thanks PHIZ!

Well, it’s kind of like a small German Shepard size.
