Ok, I copped an amazing deal and it comes with 50 venom. Tell me your experience.
Also can anyone identify the lower string? I believe the upper one is Plutonium (according to the great codinghorror), and I think the lower one is either type x or venom.
Venom is a lot of fun, and the colors it comes in are really cool. I almost never use it for 1a though. It’s really whippy and slick, so it is a lot of fun to play around with, but I find that it’s hard to control the string when doing slack tricks. I love using it for 5a though, for tricks like bee sting, since you can slide your finger down the string with little resistance if you need to adjust the counterweight’s distance from your hand.
@Imdavid122 Can you do a sharp focus, super closeup of the cut end, preferably with a bright, non-diffused light? I might be able to tell.
Here is a quick shot of the various YYSL strings. I used diffused lighting for comparison purposes. From top to bottom: Ammo, Plutonium, Venom, and Type X. They all look different from the photo you have shown, mostly due to the tightness of the twist (these haven’t been played or anything). I don’t see the same softness, but that may be due to lightning.
If it helps both strings whip so fast it probably breaks the sound barrier. I aint never seen no string whip so hard its easy mode. And both i know are lemon lime. The too one is slightly fatter, and each twist line slightly bigger, or they might just be the same string. Both bidn very nicely specifically on the wedge
Thanks for the photo. Neither appear to be YYSL. They both look like they have woolly nylon, and mine don’t have lightning whip speed in favor of more control.
