How easy to understand is this tutorial I made?

Any feedback is much appreciated, thank you!

FYI both the CLYW tutorial and you are not doing the intro correctly. The trick is based on Kamikaze and you’re missing that upwards pop into the top string and the pop afterwards when you release before going around your wrist. Conor Scholten demonstrates this in the YoTricks tutorial:

I wish I could find the original clip of the trick, but in the meantime here’s a clip of spencer doing it recently, notice the two pops before going around their wrist.

I like the use of graphics within the slo mo to really hone in on important aspects of the trick.

Overall really well done imo but I will take a more thorough look later (been a long time since I’ve done a rancid milk despite it being my favorite trick at one point, gotta relearn it)

Ah man I didn’t know the intro was different, I just followed what the cabin tutorials did. Also about the pop it’s my bad, I purposefully didn’t explain it with it to make it easier to understand but should’ve added it right after the “easy” version to show how to do it like a pro or so. But thank you for the feedback man. It was very insightful!

Well… Just to give it a true test while I was playing it on my iPad I turned every light in the house out set my iPad on the table against the wall walked to the other side of the room laid down on my back and tried to watch it upside down and read it backwards.

I gotta tell you it was seriously tough.

So, i’m not really sure how Evan could consider an attempt at low-grade humor to be in the same category as sarcasm.

That being said, I can find it logical and reasonable that when a person posts up asking for useful information, information that is not at all useful may be misunderstood.

I apologize to the OP for not responding with an answer that could not be rated at more than 0% usefulness

I like the sharp string and background contrast, and as mentioned, the graphics to point out important steps. I will use this when I’m ready to tackle RM

I really enjoy when tricks are broken up into chapters, if that is something you would consider. You can loop specific chapters to hone in on different elements of a trick and work on it step by step, as the learner. It’s very helpful.

Man that setup sounds really difficult, have you tried setting it to wumbo?

i wumbo, you wumbo, he, she, me wumbo, wumboing. wumbology, the study of wumbo…its first grade

edit: also the tut’s great. the string highlights and arrows def make things very clear what’s actually happening

Just looked up the definition of “Sarcasm,” and it appears my use of the word has been erroneous.

“Low-Grade Humor” would indeed be a better description, though I did find your post very funny.

Other than that nitpick about the intro, it’s a great tutorial, very clear.

Now, about the topic of the thread.

This tutorial was very clear, I was able to follow along despite my general incompetence.

I have no suggestions. you are doing well!

I can absolutely do that! It’ll depend on if the tricks able to but I totally could’ve done something like that for this trick. I’ll keep that in mind for future tutorials, thank you
