In the string lab, I have extras hanging around for quality control that I pull from. Outside the lab I like an Ammo test tube, so I can just pull out one while holding the others in with my thumb.
Same! I’ve got a pack of strings that I use that I took out because of quality control. It’s a good way of not wasting materials.
Mine hangs over the rod in the closet in a spare bedroom.
