If I’m remembering correctly, he usually mashed up Dust in the Wind with an LL Cool J track. And yeah, that one was really smooth. His live beat matching skills are like nothing else I’ve seen.
That’s awesome. My wife got me tickets to a DJ Shadow show on my birthday a while back, was during his tour for The Mountain Will Fall. He puts on an amazing show. I’m jealous of that show with Cut Chemist though.
Digital Mizchief is my dad. In high school, so like 15 years ago, we toured up and down the East Coast. He’s almost 70 and still spins at Bonfireland in Central Virginia most weekends I think.
It’s a super Chill Spot where you have to pay $20 to Camp there all weekend. The money goes to pay for Sunday morning grilled chicken breakfast and other expenses. 50 to 200 heads usually.
I’ve been out of the scene for a while myself. It was an important part of my life that taught me a lot about myself and the people I share the world with. Things I really needed to know, but couldn’t see until my eye was opened.
