Sounds to me like the dye used to color the strings wasn’t very good or the strings aren’t very good at holding dye. This isn’t anything to really worry about. It’s just color wearing off, nothing to worry about. As long as the strings aren’t breaking, don’t worry about it.

Yes, that is just the dye in the strings wearing off on the response. It happens all the time when you have Colored strings with white response or vice versa.
I try to avoid buying red slim pads now because it turns my Toxic Dragon strings an undesirable pinkish hue. lol
