Help me piece this scam together…

This one really annoyed me. I’m finally back from touring abroad, so we can figure this out

Here’s the bullet points:

  • I put up a “LF: Nickel Kuntosh”

  • @ubniversal referred me off-site to someone that he vouched for, straight to gmail.

  • got photos, sent $200, stupidly used F&F for the last time.

  • never got the throw. Got a couple of excuses, then zero response from the seller or from the referee.

Jimmy Hill, Jimmy Conner on PayPal (@madartisan50) . Steer clear.

ALSO @ubniversal now is a good time to respond, you said you had his address and number.

The throw looks near identical to a nickel Kuntosh that @onedrop_user was selling a while ago.

Who also had no response in the DMs. I don’t if that means there’s a connection but it was odd.

Probably shouldn’t be doxxing people on a yoyo forum or online at all, really.

And for the love of God, after all the scam posts lately WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE STILL SENDING F&F

/endrant

I’ll go back to my lurky hole now

There’s a “this community is amazing” air that a first saw when I joined here that definitely guises first time BSTers to gravitate towards F&F.
I also had people flat out refuse to sell G&S (something to do with taxes?) so I assumed F&F was a BST norm for people stateside.

Sometimes it takes being burnt to see the obvious.

What else are you supposed to do but doxx when someone scams you and gets away with it?
Sounds like you’re on the side of scamming

If I had responses from either of these accounts, I wouldn’t have gone this route.
I’ve been trying for months.

Key point - whenever someone directs you “off site” immediately a red flag :triangular_flag_on_post:

Who got doxxed? No chance any of that info is real.

I know you’re joking, but comparing me, someone you don’t know AT ALL, to a scammer is quite insulting. You don’t know who I am or how many hundreds of people I’ve worked with in this community, but I’ll spare you the yoyo doc lecture and just advise you don’t throw those kinds of jokes around to most of the people on these forums.

And doxxing is a very serious thing. Most forums and sites have very strict rules against it and quite a few will literally ban you on the spot for doing it.

It’s just a straight up scam. I received a few messages back in July as well, presumably as a result of various LF posts. “E-Mail , they have .”

Sorry that this happened to you.

It wasn’t a joke or a comparison. More of an observation.
But I hear you

Thought I saw his address posted but after rereading, it’s just ‘the area’. I was wrong. No one was doxxed.

Btw people, this is more of a post to flag up these patterns for other newbies, like I was.

Happened back in the summertime.

Bruh tell me again why were protecting the scammer? Doxing is serious? LMFAO

SO IS THEFT DUDE

Edit: as a matter of fact if we have concrete evidence their addess should be blasted online so we dont have the same scammer hitting multiple people under a different name. For example, Dr.Filthy

Just want to re-iterate this key point. And this isn’t just for this site either, this is for any site where transfer of money happens.

This following bullet point raised hella red flags before I even finished

Honestly, everybody and their grandmother’s dog should know basic online security.

I would have expected you of all people to know the dangers and repercussions of doxxing from your 4chan days…

I’m all for spreading/sharing information to prevent scams and scammers from succeeding, but posting addresses and contact info publicly with the intent to retaliate or ridicule is where I draw the line.

If you receive a Smokey box from Grand Prairie, TX do not trade again. You got lucky you got the first box, you have been warned.

Unless they’ve moved since ~2021/2022 @onedrop_user lives in Lousiville, KY and I’ve had nothing but fantastic deals with them.

Lmfao again why are you protecting scammers? If They dont want personal info out outline, simply dont steal and youre safe, simple as that??? What a stupid comment… “your 4chan days” like that means anything. You act like you actually know me. You know nothing about me other than my name, ive never even posted on 4chan you clown

You take a incredibly strange stance to want to protect scammers and ill just leave it at that

Eh I think their point is just that doxxing often leads to vigilantism, which isn’t really a good thing.

No i already specificly stated the purpose of listing the address and even gave recent examples it would have stopped. It prevents the same scammer from being able to do it over and over again…people need to learn actions have consequnces imo
