I can get into the mount in gryro flop but i cannot get the yoyo to spin, it just stays straight in my string no matter what i do. Any help would be appreciated!?
Once you’re in the mount you have to pull away from the yoyo with both hands. The yo should flop.
Pull like a beast. Actually no. Just pull pretty hard, and evenly. Also, make sure you’re in the right mount.
It works better with some yoyos than others.

Pull fairly hard and try moving your right hand (assuming you are throwing right handed) a little forward as you do. This helped me when I was learning the trick.
Also, look into the gap of the yo-yo and move your hands to prevent the strings from touching the sides of the yo-yo.
