Good 5a yoyo

Hello everyone, I am looking for a good 5a yoyo that will also be good for 1a. I have been looking into Turning Point and I have taken quite a liking to the MGB and Point Breaker. Does anyone have any other recommendations or which of the 2 is better in your opinion. Have a good day!

Can’t speak to your other yoyos, but if you like wide, the ghost ix is a yoyo that was built for 5a and 1a. it’s also really durable.

this guys uses it and posted a picture where he’s used it so much that the yoyo is almost clear on the catch zone due to use.

+1 on this yoyo if you like wider designs. maneuverable, stable, and plenty of spin for plastic without feeling heavy makes it enjoyable for 1a

same qualities make it nice for 5a with added benefit of being stupid durable lol

tried a pretty smooth one at dxl where it was played and dropped on concrete several times over an hour or so and stayed just as smooth :skull:

Dressel designs apollo

Big fan of really any tp, my favorite is the acanthus s or the c3 ambition

Have you tried the 2 I have mentioned?

For me is Stellar IX

Want more affordable there Ghost IX

If you want metal Achantus or Sense next stage

I have not tried a point breaker, I have a mgb, and tp3. I really love the tp3 and it’s great for 5a too.

So between the 2 I’d support the point breaker of the mgb, I like the tp3 more than the mgb by a good margin.

How does the MGB play? I’ve heard it was compact.

I’ve been using the Apollo exclusively for 5a, and it sounds like what you’re after. It’s stupid wide and stable.

Has anyone tried out the Ambition maybe?

Ambition is one of my favorite throws for 5a, mgb is very compact and dense
