This might not be appropriate for this thread, but I just did a thumb grind on my Majesty, my thumb nail turned black and there is a faint ring in the cup. :-\
How dare you defile the Majesty that way? Shame on you!

No idea what that could be. What colour is the Majesty? Black?
It’s blue mountain edition, it’s a really deep red that looks black in dim lighting, but the other half is black and the ano is fine.
Edit: I should clarify, the black half is not affected by thumb grinds at all.
Ano can wear off with thumb grinds
I’ve heard of it, but this is the first time it happened to me. Maybe all of my other yoyos have a hard coat.
Yeah ano on other yoyos has worn off from thumbgrinds for me

Challenging but very fun once you get it
Finger nails are hard enough to scrape ano of any sort.
It’s only the one half that is affected though, the other shows no signs of damage at all.

I just need to tell you all (although I’m preaching to the choir here) that Ernie has surely outdone himself with the Prestige! This is IMO The absolute awesomest throw! Mind you, I’m not an expert, pretty much Advanced I, but the way this yoyo feels on the string, the way it moves through the air --Wow!, how it handles with a feeling of ease, this is yoyo heaven! I mostly own General-Yo, CLYW, and One Drop. I really love my M10 and Majesty’s, but this thing is pure GenYo bliss. 8)
I should also mention that this thing holds speed like nothing else I have. The General-Yo perfect balance and smoothness plus the excellent bearing (it’s a Buddha Ripple btw) working in concert, no doubt, in this regard, made this quite deceiving to my senses. Just initially checking it out I did an average throw and after a few first tricks and such, and Whoa!.. the speed of the return from bind really caught me off-guard! It was like I just did a hard throw and went immediately to bind! :o Again, awesome!
Oh yeah, the colorway befits the awesomeness of the throw too ;D

All my hopes confirmed!
Now the only problem will be deciding between the solid blue, with gen yo traditional blast and AIGR bearing (my original choice) or the Orange Boo (with the pyrimattite finish and Ripple)! And no, I cannot get afford both!
id say orange boo! then stick an AIGR in it with the ripple as a back up.
