$300 sounds like a deal to me. Thats what rarer Peaks go for so Id assume thats what a Torrent would go for. And the longer you wait the more they’ll be selling for!

Pyramatte??
Sure hope not for the final production version. Pyramatte is a perfectly fine matte finish for a production line in which blasting is too inconvenient or costly. But that’s about it. Doesn’t grind for beans.
I think that is what a raw yoyo looks like with Pyramatte… And dude Greg… Is there something in a air up there… My One Drops grind like champs… 
Maybe when I see you next month we can go through some grinding tricks…

I don’t know if its just me but my pyramatte yoyos grind great.
Just to clear the speculation,…this is a Pyramatte finish.
I also have to agree with Mgiroux77 and with MYNAMEISZen in that this particular prestige grinds really well !! I would say that it grinds as well as any finish I’ve tried.
And without any surprise, it’s really smooth, and with the nice wide “V” shaped gap, it makes my moderate horizontal skills look good !!
I’m looking forward to see what types of finished colors Ernie has in store for this release.
I’ve known a few people who agree that pyramatte doesn’t grind nearly as well as bead or soda blast. It’s basically the mid-point between a great grinding surface and plain ano on raw or polished metal.
I guess it depends on what kind of grinds you’re doing and how long you expect them to last. Certainly when you’re intentionally pushing the limits, pyramatte doesn’t stack up. But when you’re doing a quick transitional grind, you probably won’t notice the difference.
I can feel a difference in friction between my Chik or Code 2 and my blasted SPYY yoyos, no question. I have to increase the angle of my finger for finger grinds when using pyramatte, or it’ll just run up my arm. Which is fun when that’s your intended effect! Also, those grinds where you reach around into the cup from either side like matador, but without grabbing spikes… instead, the inside rim rests on your finger/thumb… yeah, those don’t work out so good with pyramatte. Even a thumb grind on a Code 2… unless I get “nothin’ but nail” (which is ideal anyhow, but doesn’t always work out!) I can feel it slow right down.
I’m actually surprised anyone stacks pyramatte up there with soda or bead blasts!
Pyra matte is very close to blasted for me. I’ve gotten close to 10 second grinds with a summit…

10 second grind with Pyramatte(with no glove, baby powder, or superhuman hulk throw)? No offense, but I would have to see it to believe it. If you live in zero humidity, and have really dry hands… maybe…
Pyramatte is a great finish. I love the way it feels, it makes colors unique, and it grinds well enough for anything that I need it to do. However, it just doesn’t offer the kind of grinds that you would get from a good bead blast(e.g. - SPYY), a candy blast, or a soda blast.
The Prestige looks great. I love the name. The hub looks like it would work well for finger spins. I’m curious if it presents any complications when landing it on your finger, or if it is easy, or easy to correct once your finger is in the cup if you don’t land it perfectly.

I should also add that Ernie DID say on his FB page that these would be blasted too. Yoyo’s can be tumbled then blasted… So that is what I think is happening here. Seeing they were machined at One Drop I would assume they just did the Pyramatte as well. BUT he will be blasting too!!! So those of you who love that classic Gen Yo BB that will happen
There will be three finishes, and Im using three anodizers.
There will be Pyramatte, light blast, and traditional gen-yo blast.
Lots of cool stuff in the works.
Much work to be done still.

What finish were your M10 yoyos? I liked this finish one and would hopefully look for the same on the Prestige…

I can’t wait for the prestige I’m saving up for one. They look like my speed low walls, I like, curved inside, I like, and general yo bead blast for grinds please!!!
