what I don’t understand: if it is expected that the Model 10 is going to sell out pretty much instantly, why doesn’t General-Yo make more?
It’s really annoying if you have to camp for the release of a yoyo (especially when timezone differences come into play) just to get a chance to play it. Often times I’m considering buying a new and hyped throw but not at all costs. And I’m not talking about price but the time invested in getting one.
s these companies grow this becomes less of an issue (CLYW for instance). I don’t believe Ernie intends to go that big (correct me if I am wrong). I believe it is a labor of love and generalyo is riding the hype train pretty hard at the moment. Good luck getting a model 10 is rock solid.
Well i know for one thing, mr. Kaiser uses a machine shop that has been very busy machining stuff for the aero space travel industry. He told me he gets in the shop whenever he can. So it’s not exactly easy to get enough time on the machines to make tons. I’m sure he utilizes every second he gets on the machines.
However, the supply meets the demand quite well. No point over stocking.
And finally, id like to address, that mr. Kaiser has made it extremely effortless to get a model in whichever color you want. I literally never have to worry about buying one before they sell out.
And i very much so appreciate that mr. Kaiser does it for the fans, love, and respect. He carefully designs and manufactures his product with utmost care. Even if it was a nightmare to try and obtain one of these, it would be worth it… These aren’t made for a paycheck… They are very special.
This beauty came in today. I think I cried a little when I saw how gorgeous it is ;). Killer player. Model 10 and Majesty are my currently tied. Also, why does everyone use hype incorrectly?
I cannot, for the life of me, cannot convince people to let go of thier Majesties. Im over here offering YYR + YYjoker + various other 100 throws as deal sweeteners and no one will let thiers go for approx $400 of yoyos. :-[
It’s debatable. When you compare the two, you realize the similarities are in the differences. Check out my review, I noticed something similar, you’re the only other person to mention anything about it though ;]
I over-herd The general (idk how to spell his name) talking about it with some other guy. and from what I heard, its a Majesty, but with a different shape.
Interesting… I find the KLR to be closer to the Majesty (shape wise)… The M10 is not rounded at all… and very angular while the Majesty is even more ronded than the KLR… Although the weight on the Majesty and M10 are more “mid” based. IMHO all three of then play diffent and awesome… I like the M10 the best…
If I saw all three yoyos and never knew when they came out I would think that the Majesty came first then the KLR then the M10…
If you compare a Model 10 and a Majesty, you’ll notice where every round edge on the Majesty, will be Cornered on the Model 10. Same with cornered edges on the Majesty are rounded on the Model 10. I noticed this within minutes of opening my Model 10. Look at every angle, even the “Spike”.
Truth. I think the inner rim cutouts are the same but I will have to double check. Also I feel that the M10 is not just an angular Majesty. They play very differently.
