I have never entered a contest, but watch alot, but it just seems to me that “freestyle” is just a dancing performance with a yoyo. I love watching it. I just wondered how they judge it. Or how points are awarded .
Each contest is different but for the most part it’s string hits + innovation + style + anything else the judges want to do. If you can hit a Yuuki type freestyle with a lot of “dancing” in it then you are bound to do VERY well.
