Guys I don’t know what is happening, I first started properly throwing fixie on Saturday, and I already have the basic stalls, this “dumptruck” on the video above, pocket watch, and tape measure down, and I have hit some twice in a row kickflip suicides. Not mentioning the regular sidewinders, UFO and such tricks that you can do to an extent on regular unresponsive. Help me, is it supposed to be this fast?
Ride it while you’re feeling it
We are all surfing our own wave
Sounds like you’ll be doing triple kick flips and 540s next week, but prolly best to keep grinding and stay humble or the universe may do it.
Oh of course! I am not saying I have mastered those, still have to polish the dumptrucks and kickflips. I am starting to feel like the learning curve is reversed compared to what I expected. Getting harder to improve progressively.
That’s banana-cakes!!
Level Up
Been meaning to pop in here for my first Fixed Axle February!
I think my goals for this month will be Kickflips, Varials, and backhand Balances. I want to get more control of a stalled yoyo… Been working with the This-A-Way That-A-Way and it’s challenging to land this type of stuff on!
I will probably throw myself a bone and spend some more time with my KNack since it’s a ton easier to land back on the string…
For sale at my local supermarket… I’ve worked in the area 20 years I’ve never seen this supermarket carry yoyos by the register! Happy Fixed feb…i will be throwing a Duncan imperial and Butterfly the rest of the day.
It’s exciting to see any yoyo in a store! I want to see some videos of you using these!
I committed to not spending any more money on yoyos in January so I had to wait until Monday to let the Turbo Bumble BeH sting my wallet…
I just figured out how to reliably land Dumptrucks consistently!
I realized that the trick works best when I curve my off hand index finger inward while the yoyo is swinging away from my body.
I just had to share, I’m so stoked! I’ve been working on that one for a minute.
I am filing this away for future reference. I have yet to even attempt dumptrucks.
