This is something I have recently tried and found pretty good success with is that when you are making strings, and come to the part where you use a weight, or spin the drill backwards, you can take a fishing swivel, and give the string some slack, and the string will spin up on itself all nice.

I learned this method at worlds, and it’s totally the best way to do things. Saves me a ton of time.
How do you do it exactly? ???
Put a swivel on a paperclip, then slip the loop attached to the swivel into the twisted string and let the string twist together.
