Yeah we are testing both the DS and ceramic. We will most likely include both with the yoyo but we will see.

The size of the rings were dictated by their vision and not by your fantasy.
There is no standard that bi-metal yo-yos have to an aluminum body and a specific metal for rims, etc…
The designers push around performance ideals/parameters to align with intended performance factors. They CAD their concept.
The ring material is dictated by weight they have selected for the rims in their design. Titanium is/was the obvious choice to meet the criteria to optimize weight distribution.
Aesthetics and performance don’t need to be intimate partners.
Aesthetics and performance and ergonomics and material selection to achieve the desired product are just what results when people do their ‘homework’.
Bottom line is simple…. Performance Trumps looks every time. Performance Trumps material selection every time. Performance Trumps ergonomics every time.
That being said, if a yo-yo plays at a high level, and the yo-yo feels good, and the yo-yo looks good……
Then the design: material selection, weight distribution, rim size and yo-yo specs are justified.
The only dancing involved is the dancing you will do when you score one on the drop.

In this particular case performance and looks appear to share equal importance. That’s cool; it just means that a more expensive metal was necessary (for the rings) in order to achieve this design priority parity.

I think you can call this starting the year off the right way

We have been away from social media for a second, but that’s because we’ve been working hard on finalizing the details of Inception.
This project is definitely one worth the wait for us. We just received the production run and we are thrilled to get these out to you. It has always been about the details for us and we think this project really shows that.
Stay tuned for pictures of the different colorways. We are so happy with how the colors turned out and can’t wait to show you guys!

INCEPTION •••
We have been waiting some time to show this to you!
Inception is the very first production 7068 aluminum, titanium rim, bi-metal yoyo.
Additionally, we are beyond thrilled to have collaborated with @failureisunknown to give Inception the sleek look that we knew would stand out from anything we have done before.
This has been a wild project for us but it definitely showcases everything we envisioned. Thank you once again to @yoyoprojon for sharing your creativity with us and for being on our team.
