Fellhoelter Drop

Sounds like a future d bearing YoYo project when time and money come about. Heck make it smaller at that rate go a bearing.

Me sitting in my car having an argument with myself about how it’s financially irresponsible to finance the d bearing project so that I can have some more spinny toys lol. Maybe I’ll just send you a d bearing throw for Christmas in case you fall in love with it :joy:

Fascinating peak into the world of Ti manufacturing, I don’t do hardware so I had no idea.

Normal responsive d bearings are part MR115. 5x11x4 mm. The only existing blank I know of is the zgrt one El Mijo Parts by Zero Gravity Return Tops – YoYoExpert

Interesting, the only spec I had found for them had them at 5x11x5
THIS is why parts in hand is important!

I’m sure we can supply D bearing/yoyo samples between everyone in this chat.

Yep! 5x11x5 is for an unresponsive. They don’t even differentiate like with c and half spec c.

Ha, I stopped reading my own link after 5x11x5
If I had carried on, I’d have seen the further description.

Reading is fundamental kids.

Somebody send me a yoyo, 2 would be even better (different models) that use a D.
I’ll send 'em back.

@Pun1sh3R do we have a workhorse proto still making the rounds? That would be a good candidate.

Both Workhorses are still on PIF.

But I can send a V.2 with a ZGRT D-Bearing Blank.

@Fellhoelter DM me your Address.

Ill see what other D Bearing responsives I have also.

What would pair as a second canidate?

I have an el mijo, a VHS and a DD assassin. El Mijo is my only official d bearing responsive but the other two are greased to respond. I could send whichever seems most appropriate to pair.

I could send a Mijo too! I was racking my brain on which yoyos I had that have D Bearings.

Have you considered kickstarter? I’m sure there’s people here that would contribute to your research and tooling.

I’d throw you some loose cash because I respect your work and your openness on your process, but can’t afford your throws lol.

Respawn?

So far I have Workhorse V.2, El Mijo, Respawn. Any others?

Should I send a MR85 Yoyo, incase a blank is possible? A lot of us Brick the bearings, but a Not a Bearing would be cool!

Thats not 100% true. The standard d bearing is what the respawn and workhorse use, the bearing is just recessed more to create the gap width. Similar to a deep state, which uses a full size c bearing.

Good to know! And very important information in this thread.

Ok, I’ll try and cover everything since I was last here…
No Kickstarter.
Kickstarter and I have history, not all of it good.
I am an early kickstarter success story though. If you go back and look 12-13 years ago, I had more than 1 successful campaign. My story about them is for another time and place though.
And we are only talking $500.
I can cover that myself, I just want to make sure that I make it back. More important than that though, is that I’m not wasting time making a thing no one wants, when I could be spending that time making things that do make money.
My time, is finite… Money, a renewable resource.
My wife is already not happy with how many SKU’s we have to keep up with.
Different YoYo’s in my hand would be good.
I figured out how to make the NotABearing behave the way I wanted it to, because I had drawings from Onedrop of the DeepState, and others.
If all I had was one sample, and it was the Deep State, the NotABearing would be different, and not work so well on many of the other YoYo’s.
I could have assumed that it’s configuration was ‘standard’, when in fact it is an exception to the standard.
I’ll make these, before the years end, just need a few yoyos to measure and fool with first.
They’ll come back with a NotDBearing, of course…
