I just thought I would share my favorite Yoyo tool. It’s a Swiss Army knife (Mechanic). I don’t know if they make this model anymore. The toothpick and tweezers are great for string knots and axle knots without having to take the Yoyo apart. The pliers are good for removing bearings. The knife for cutting string. I also added a sewing needle for taking shields off of bearings and for applying oil to bearings.

By pocket knife you mean multi tool twitch?
I find the round end of a 1/4 inch drill bit best, to remove bearings. Is this not recommended? Easier than gripping with any tool for me.

I use the standard YYF bearing remover tool

yeah an actual bearing too is better than pliers for sure.

most likely. With pliers you run the risk of messing up the bearing or slipping off the bearing and scuffing your yoyo.

I wish mine had scissors. The knife does the trick but scissors are slightly more convenient.
