A pair of chasers are great for 3a and will get you far
right now i’m looking at getting a pair of echos
I use YoyoJam Sigma Blade Zweis. They were the original yoyojam yoyo built for 3a before the C-force.
2 Yoyorecreation stargazers are my fave right now
Cerberus or MVP’s lately. Dark Magic or SF HG’s are my standards.

I’ve only started playing 3A for a few months.
My current favorite pair for 3A is a Protostar on my dominant hand and a Northstar on my other hand.
The northstar is heavier and tends to play slightly slower. I just haven’t developed a good amount of control on my non dominant hand, and it helps to slow it down a bit.
My new fave 3a set is a pair of echos or yeah3s I sadly do not own tr yeah 3s butbi have played them and irbid awesome
Cerberus’s hands down the best 3a yoyos I have ever used.
