I think It started off that way but this thread is now helping people get fake throws in the community and now that people hate a-rt they see no reason to not rip them off.
This thread has been pretty positive in wanting to try these models which I think is cool but now that we see people are absuing it, it’s a dangerous thread.
yeah i have no interest in a-rt throws in general now. I originally wanted a doorknob but even those that end up on the bst im ignoring now cause its just not an interesting brand at this point. The fact that there are a bunch of fakes out now just adds to the disinterest in certain throws.
@Niki as for the thread i think its a good thing still. if you didn’t see this but found those yoyos you would have thought maybe its just a reseller or something. folks that would buy the fakes will buy them regardless of this post and its not like we have links to those pages in here you have to dig for them a bit which if someone is doing then they would have done that anyway.
lets be honest… you weren’t gonna buy an a-rt before this thread but I do agree that the increased fakes out on the market have made me not want to purchase a-rt second hand ever and im the biggest a-rt fanboy.
I do agree with the second part and think this thread can still be useful but we need to keep it safe
any fake is likely not to meet whatever technical specs are listed. often QC is questionable with mass produced junk. Doesn’t mean its unplayable it can even occasionally turn out to be decent but usually these sorts of recreations are sloppy and poor imitations of the real thing.
Hopefully people here have enough yoyos not to bother adding unnecessarily, or see better deals for authentic yoyos on BST. No interest whatsoever for me. I’d rather save for something else rather than a novelty fake that might end up being passed to someone else as authentic.
