Is it worth paying 10 dollars more for the evolve? Just for the 7075 alluminuim
They were both bonkers good monos. I preferred the Crescendo but can’t really go wrong with either imo
I think you are looking at it wrong. You can’t look at the specs and know which is better. They are two different yoyos for two different players. I would recommend looking at the playstyles of each and that should help you know what each yoyo will be good at.
Some regard 7075 alluminuim to be better in performance than the 6061,ao I’m asking if theres that much of a difference between the 7075 and 6061 to make it worth spending the extra 10 dollars. Both styles are practically the same other than the fact that Jonathan singtang has focuses moreon choreography Omo. They hjrg don’t have that much over the head tricks and like huge bangers and focus on meta and horizontal and behind the back stuff. So their styles are relatively the same. So you can’t really decide like that
I think Justin and Jonathan have very different styles, I’m not really sure how you could watch them and come to the conclusion their styles are the same.
7075’s higher strength and density are going to allow it to be used differently than 6061, potentially allowing for more extreme weight distributions. That said, 7075 is not inherently better than 6061 or vice versa. It’s all in how the yo-yo is designed and the design is always much more important than the material. It’s not an inherent upgrade like you’re framing it.
I’d suggest you look up some reviews of how each plays. That or give some of your preferences in a yo-yo for play characteristics and people can maybe point you towards what you might prefer. That or pick the one you think looks cooler because they’re both going to be very good.
Used wrong wording, meant their tricks are quite similar I’d say. Lots of meta tricks and hooks. Not much over the head stuff and neck stuff like other players who go dmto the extreme of that, and crazy types of hooks. In terms of performance, 7075 is inherently more stable. Anyways I’ve made up my mind and will be getting an evolve. Might get a crescendo next time.
How dues tge evolve play?
I think you replied to the wrong person. Also 7075 is not inherently more stable like that’s just not true. The stability of a yoyo is determined by the design of the yoyo. 6061 is still super good and it’s not really accurate to think of 7075 as just better or more stable or something. It’s just stronger so you can get the walls thinner. So you can get more rim weight but that isn’t always ideal. Many of the best yoyos I’ve ever tried are 6061. More about using the right tool for the job.
The evolve was very good. I think you’ll be happy with it!
Evolve plays heavier and more powerful, crescendo feels lighter and more floaty. I prefer the crescendo tho
Yeah the best preforming mono metal I’ve played is the luftverk 6061 aluminum Fulvia. It outperforms almost all of the 7068 and 7075 monos I’ve tried. That’s not to say I don’t like or prefer the premium aluminum but performance comes down to design rather than material. There’s a lot of monos that outperform some bimetals.
Why’s it so expensive if ita made out of 6061?
Because there was only 25 made of each color. Smaller batches are more expensive to produce.
It’s well worth the $90 though if you have that to spend.
Both yoyos are Insanely good. I personally prefer Evolve because of the Width and Stability. 7075 is SUPER durable. I have Smashed my Evolve on Concrete, and it does not vibe. When I run my hand over the places where it’s been dinged i can barely feel anything. All round Great yoyo. Crescendo is a very fun yoyo and moves with ease. really cant go wrong with either one. And if you can’t decide which one to get, just get both
I personally prefer the 7075 just because I’m more down to EDC it. Which in turn makes me play it more. I’ve recently started playing with longer and longer string lengths, and sometime that leads to a hit to the floor. I’ve noticed on my 7075’s that may just be a scratch, whereas on my 6061’s it may be a ding.
I think there’s a skill level thing to take into account too. As a novice I find that my new 48+mm wide yoyo’s (Cheat Code/Plastic Cheat Code/Outlier+) give me more issues when learning new tricks. Though once I’ve mastered them the wider yoyo doesn’t seem to matter. It’s also easier for me to keep a sub 45mm yoyos (Hyper X/Windrunner/Uppercut/etc…) stable. So if you are of limited skills like me, I would recommend the narrower yoyo until you progress to a being more proficient.
