i have an elliot jackson peak that is responsive. it has been like that since i got it. at first i thought i just needed to break in the pads. but its been weeks now, and its still responsive. even if i switch out the bearing it is still responsive. please help 
Is any of the silicone sticking into the gap? Mines been fine since i got it.

shim it
try a thinner string
ill try cleaning the bearing, but i wont shim it. shimming yoyos is just eck imo.
i think yye 100% poly should work
