Dv888 problem please help.

I was useing my dv888 the other day and it broke off the string and got all dinged up :frowning: . when I opened it, there was a little peice of yoyo string stuck in between the yoyo and the bearing, the bearing is tightly attached to that side of the yoyo. I can pull the whole thing out with pliers so I am wondering if I should take the bearing out or how to get the string out. Will takeing the bearing out effect the play? The peice of string is make the yoyo vibe and responsive.

Just take the bearing out. It’s not really gonna hurt the yoyo, and if it helps take the string out, then it’s fine. Bearings are made to come out

its worse, more vibey and way more responsive… :frowning:

have you tried cleaning the bearing ?

I have cleaned the bearing on my dv888 , left the shield off and it spins great . I have a ten bearing in it.
Use a drill bit to help pull the bearing, works great (1/4 in bit ) or metric about that size.

I just cleaned it and it still works crappy. Should I just buy a new one?

I will trade you something for it, c’mon bubby.

Yeah, would just do that then.

Aaand then give your old one to Q.

lol

tip for the future… when attaching a new string (or reattaching an existing string) do not take the yoyo apart.
