I was just about to make this thread, I kinda love and hate DNA’s, they are super overused, yet again, they’re sooooo satisfying.
I also kinda don’t like it when brands make a yoyo centered over fingerspins, so it depends how it actually plays
Looks a lil clunky but if it plays well too I might pick one up if it goes on sale sometime soon

yeah definitely they are overused, but i have more than a dozen other yoyos that are not “designed for fingerspins” and only 1 that really is (a shooting star)
so it would be nice to have metal throw of a medium size that is good for it
like you said, it may not be hard or impressive, but it is very satisfying
and it looks like it would be good for talon, finger, and palm grinds also (all of which are fun)

I actually would assume that they will not come to YYE. Most of Gentry’s recent releases are sold exclusively on his website.
Overall, I think it’s a good upgrade to the DNA. I was never a fan of the 1st one.

54mm on a monometal with a fingerspin cup sounds meh. The gravitation mini is 54mm and has beefy rims so it feels nimble but still solid enough. I can’t imagine moving or adding mass to form the fingerspin cup feeling great on the string. For comparison, the paragraph had a subtler dimple and it felt pretty mid at about full size.
I hate the name. It made me think it would be a successor to the DNA/Mutant DNA. NOPE!

Yeah I don’t really get what it’s doing new tbh, seems pretty similar to other fingerspin oriented yoyos.
