Doesnt have to be sodablasted I was just giving an idea. There are plenty of yoyo companies that have sodablasted yoyos that arent one drops. people dont own a blasting media. Any blast would work
Another Idea from me, (this one comes from my other obsession fly fishing) So here are some fish inspired color way ideas
Golden Trout
What i think would look cool is a brown to gold fade going from the center of the yoyo (For the brown) (around the bearing) to the rims (where the gold is) sorta like this (Gold<----brown----->Gold) with an organic looking red splash (similar to the splashes on the G squared albatrossâs). (If the fade i mentioned is not something that would be cost effective to do, i think an acid wash of the colors would achieve the same effect, or if you think it would look better)
(the main reason i did not include the black speckles or dots in the colorway is that i think it might make the yoyo look too busy, and i donât think it would add much to it while spinning)
Fish Inspired idea #2
Brown trout
A dark Brown and brownish-yellow acid wash or fade with a red and black speckle, but instead of a lot a small dots, i think bigger, but fewer, dots would look better (2/3rds of the dots black and 1/3rd red).
This one is pretty easy, Light green (like the sea green in the post above mine) acid wash (the blasted finish should be visible in some areas), and a Black Splash (again the thick organic looking splash that i talked about earlier)
Im not even quite sure how this next one would be done, but if it could be pulled off i think it would be an amazing color way.

So possibly something like a Black and green acid wash with either a bright orange splash or a red speckle.
Thats all I have for now
Thanks,
FlyCaster
(please let me know if i was confusing in any of this, i realize that it could be and would be happy to clarify any of it for you.)
Fly fishing is so much fun! too bad I havenât caught a trout yetâŚ
Yeah your fish inspired colorways sound cool! My idea for that would be the colors of a peacock bass: http://www.acuteangling.com/Articles/images/image5LP.JPG
Green/brown acid wash with black speckles and red/orange splash. Or a red hub (like the eye of the fish) would be cool addition to this colorway also.
Man Iâd completely forgotten about peacock bass, those things sure are pretty :P, I need to do more bass fishing⌠Iâd love to catch something like a peacock bass. I think that something like a black splash just on the inside of one cup (a bigger splash, almost like it was spilled into the cup) with a red hub on that side, and a black one on the other (the black hub on the cup without the splash). True it would probably take more effort, but it sure would be cool.
