Dark magic w/center trac?

I lost my speed bearing and i decided to put a center trac in there, now it seems that the gap is thinner, but still unresponsive(most of the time). is the speed bearing wider?( in the pic, the plastic bearing seat thing makes the gap look wide)

I believe you have to break the center trac bearing in and it will be fine.

it is, but it just snags on some tricks

All string centering bearings do. Some more than others. If you don’t like it, I’d not suggest using a Crucial Grooved bearing or Dif-E-Yo KonKave. I suggest going to a hobby shop and asking for a .25"x.5"x.187" ball bearing. Don’t ask for a size “C”. They’re not yoyoers.

By the way, to answer your question, the Center Trak is the same size as a SPEED bearing. They are both “C” sized bearings.

They are the same size but the string centering flares effectively shrinks the gap a few millimeters.
