When you receive a Dark Magic II, inside a responsive bearing remains but there is also another unresponsive bearing included. I know that the unresponsive bearing is a size C bearing but I was just wondering what type of bearing is the responsive one called? Thanks ;D
It is a slim C bearing.
It is also called an N bearing. Or Half Spec. Or Narrow C bearing.
All those terms are applicable, as well as as mrcnja pointed out, a slim C bearing.
Half spec seems to be the most common term.
Some call it “responsive bearing”, especially since multiple brands are doing the 2-bearing thing on some of their yoyos.
It’s just a R188 1/4"x1/2"x1/8" inch Ball Bearing.
Okay, first of all thanks for all your help but I’m still a little bit confused. If I shop for the yoyojam bearings on yoyoexpert I should shop for size C for the unresponsive bearing but when I look at the list to buy a responsive bearing, there doesn’t seem to be a slim C bearing so do I buy a small bearing or a narrow bearing or maybe something else? Please help which bearing should I buy. Thanks ;D
I’ve attempted to translate your comments into what the store sells.
Standard YYJ size C - Large YoYoJam Bearing fits most YoYoJam yo-yos (KickSide, Dark Magic, etc).
YYJ unresponsive size C bearing - Large YoYoJam SPEED Bearing (Size C) - new all stainless steel and completely clean bearing built for long spins and unresponsive play. Has a total of ten ball bearings inside too for longer life span.
responsive bearing, slim C bearing - YYJ Narrow Bearing (size N)
I understand now. Thanks ;D
